Public API

It isn't an open source project. For the initial launch, it will have a handful number of APIs (i.e., reference documents) that can be viewed. In our future state, we plan to add features where you can test and simulate APIs as well.

Will you be interested in our user testing?

Hi Jim,

I signed up for the dev account on developer.ford.com and put in a request to access the Ford Connect API a couple of weeks ago.
I have not gotten any notification of access or any information on the API docs yet.

Do you have a link to the API docs or a location where I can get a Swagger/ OpenAPI spec?

I suspect this may be one of those forms, where if you use an email address on like yahoo or gmail, that they won't accept it. Since it asks for company info as well. Just a thought.

I've been thinking about this very recently because of this:

a "real" "public" API would be nice to not have to have us as Home Assistant users have to worry about this kind of stuff. The unofficial FordPass integration is quite nice but something "real" would be nicer. ?

I believe this is a proper oauth2 solution, so it should be possible for Ford to implement third party logins properly.
