Rear license plates... a blunder?

I have noticed that the area where the rear license is attached is not made for US plates. I tried to position both a NJ and a FL license plate and they DON'T fit in the space... it looks it was made for EU size or a China plate! The front lic holder is made for US standard plate... this is indeed very strange!

I think you somehow got an EU car. That's not what my keypad card looks like. Mine says North America, non European Union, non China.
No flags on the card.

To be fair to Ford they do not have enough room on the other side of the car put all the Flags on the other side of the car. 2 for the good style and then the rest of the world on the other.
China and the EU get the 10 possible digit instead of the 5 we get here. Honestly wish Ford would update to the same 10 possible numbers world side.

Flip the card over. The codes are on both sides and which you use is dependant upon which car you have EU/China or NA.
