RainX works better than the tiny OEM wiper. If I weren't leasing, I would totally pull the whole assembly & find some way to cover the hole.

I'm leasing too but still have heavily modded this car (and the last two I leased). I'm pretty sure I would be able to drill out the hole that I would fill in the liftgate glass and put the wiper motor back in.

Huh, I went the other way. Instead of the tiny stock blade I put on a bigger blade. Works better than the stock blade, especially with a rear dash cam. ?‍♂?

I have my FITCAMX rear camera fairly high up. Big blade reaches it. Little blade? Not so much.

Oh for sure, you are more ambitious than me! It's my wife's DD, so if she sees me sneaking around her car, she knows I'm up to something, and starts barking at me.... ?

Can't remember when I've used that rear wiper or if I ever have. After erasing it from the window in Photos, I am really liking the way it looks. I did this on my Focus RS shortly before I sold it and never really thought about it on this car but now I really am.

I do use mine occasionally. The back window does get pretty dirty here. But, honestly, I don't think I'd miss it. It only does the lower part of the window. I use my side mirrors more anyway. And for backing up there's the camera. Yeah, the camera. I try to remember to wipe that off when I get out.
Swap it with a 16 inch $10 replacement from amazon and it will clean the majority of the window.

Fishing for thoughts on doing a rear wiper delete? I realize I would have to put a plastic cover on the nut, but I think it may be a cleaner look without the wiper. I rarely use it (I live in Phoenix). What do you think? Anybody skilled enough to do a photoshop render?
Cadillac puts the blade on top under the spoiler so it’s out of sight

I recalled seeing this post on Facebook by somebody who did the delete recently. I'm not interested in getting rid of the rear wiper myself but it does look pretty nice without it.

Man I would personally never do this, aesthetics be dammed. The back window was so outrageously dirty this past winter, without the wiper and washer it would have been impossible for me to see out the back. One drive and it's dirty, I used the wiper and washer about once a day.

Only takes one storm to make a total mess of the back glass, and you'll wish you had the wiper so you don't have to make an unplanned stop to clean the back window.

As a driver, seeing out the back window is so overblown.... with properly adjusted side mirrors, and a BUC, there is really no valid reason for a interior mirror, Rr wiper, etc... It's completely unnecessary. People just think they need it, because they've always had it.... ?
