You do not have to use the data plan provided to you by Ford through AT&T or Bell, and you can use you cell phones data and set it up as a wifi Hotspot for the car to connect to since cell phone data plans will offer you allot more for less than the crap plans offered specifically for the "connected vehicle" plan.

With that said, although YouTube works great this way, Netflix does not. Although you can get to Netflix and see the main screen I've shown above, along with previews when clicking a video, you cannot actually watch the video. It seems the browser is likely missing some DRM stuff required to play them.
