Hey all, trying to find some info on how to remove the rear oem spoiler. I need to repaint my liftgate so it would be super helpful to remove it. I see a series of T-30's under the liftgate to the rear. But they only spin as if there is a nut on the opposite side that I am not seeing because of the spoiler?‍♂??

You should search the forum, as I recall the spoiler is not removable without then having to replace it.

I tried searching both here and google, maybe I used the wrong verbage or key words. But thank you, and thank you for responding. I saw a few for sale on eBay and tried to use the pictures to determine how it was installed, clips bolt holes etc... well now that explains the free spinning bolts.

Hey Quran, I just replied back to this on the other thread that you asked the same question. The spoiler is removable and I posted the removal process as listed in the Ford Repair Manual and issues doing it in the thread below.

I believe this is the answer to your question:

Let me know if you need any help with this. I've removed three spoilers on Mach-E's and each one had one or more of the bolts spinning without coming out. It is generally the two outer bolts that have this issue.

Wow, I just read your post and I see why their reputation is the need to be replaced once removed! I think I’ll leave mine on ?

Apparently when Ford uses Loctite on a bolt, they don't want their mechanics to spend the time to clean it off then reapply Loctite before installing. They just buy new bolts which have Loctite Dry-Loc already on it. I clean off the bolts and reapply Loctite.

Thank you Mark, I was confidante which T-30's after looking at pics of those for sale on Ebay. As soon as I put my torque drive on the first one I had a pretty good idea of what happened. Unfortunately my bore scope confirmed my suspicion. I was able to drill it out without damaging the surrounding parts and plastic. But after that I put my tools down ran to the forum. Well, If I have any more repeats with the hand tools I now have a work around.
