This is toooootally going to be a #firstworldcomplaint BUT......my F150 is a '99 with 173k mi on the clock. It starts and drives, if somewhat shakily at times. No cruise control, no keyless locks, and the speedometer is a best guess at most at any speed approaching or exceeding 60 mph. I'm just *really* not a truck guy. It has been my family's workhorse for the past several years, and using it now as a DD is a...chore. Yes, I'm a spoiled [geriatric] millennial.Since you already have an F150, why not just wait for a Lightning?![]()
But, it gets me from Point A to Point B for the time being, heated or air conditioned, while I wait for a car I ordered in July (Tesla M3 SR) that is supposed to arrive in a few weeks. I will very likely turn around and resell that car for a tidy profit and replace it with another MME. As long as I get the M3 before 1/1, I won't pay sales tax because I sold my previous MME within 60 days for more than it. Then, if I buy another MME after 1/1, I can receive the full $7500 federal tax credit on it, and will also pay little to no sales tax on it as well since I'll probably sell the M3 for around what it would cost.
Taking advantage of this market while I can. It's weird times out there folks!
