Since you already have an F150, why not just wait for a Lightning? :D
This is toooootally going to be a #firstworldcomplaint BUT......my F150 is a '99 with 173k mi on the clock. It starts and drives, if somewhat shakily at times. No cruise control, no keyless locks, and the speedometer is a best guess at most at any speed approaching or exceeding 60 mph. I'm just *really* not a truck guy. It has been my family's workhorse for the past several years, and using it now as a DD is a...chore. Yes, I'm a spoiled [geriatric] millennial.

But, it gets me from Point A to Point B for the time being, heated or air conditioned, while I wait for a car I ordered in July (Tesla M3 SR) that is supposed to arrive in a few weeks. I will very likely turn around and resell that car for a tidy profit and replace it with another MME. As long as I get the M3 before 1/1, I won't pay sales tax because I sold my previous MME within 60 days for more than it. Then, if I buy another MME after 1/1, I can receive the full $7500 federal tax credit on it, and will also pay little to no sales tax on it as well since I'll probably sell the M3 for around what it would cost.

Taking advantage of this market while I can. It's weird times out there folks!

Totally OT, but I'm loving the Trekkie references in some of your usernames.

I've tried for almost nine months to let my appreciation for the hardware outweigh my crushing disappointment and frustration with the software. I have failed. I'm going to sell it. Not being a follower of "the marketplace", I'm curious ...

Premium AWD ER, 7800 miles. What kind of resale price should I be looking for?
I had the same thoughts. Ended up selling mine and broke even at the very least.

I can relate - I wouldn't replace the '97 F250 we use on the farm for anything!!!

Incredible resale value. I will not share mine until my deal is closed (still a day or two away) but I lost nothing...... and I had more miles than you. Of course I sold for different reasons. My car has been perfection and I simply upgraded to an AWD ER Premium.

Well, you tried @connoisseurr ...
LOL for real... Some people love tech, and others don't. Coming from having new phones almost every year, using custom ROMs on Android phones, building and running modified software for gaming systems, I welcome bugs and am happy to report to Ford.

Most need to understand this is a first release for Ford. There were MANY First Edition customers that had to deal with a substantially larger amount of BS than what some see today. It's only going to get better.

No. Everything is signed. Just awaiting a final release and a check. The deal is not done until payments have cleared.

When I got the offer from GMTV, I was stunned to be honest and thought it was definitely a too good to be true situation. I was completely skeptical even when their equity check was delivered. It was not "live" and cashable until the delivery company showed and took possession of the vehicle. Once that happened, they activated the check and I was able to deposit it. Up to that point, I truly kept thinking "nah, this can't be for real." Needless to say, if I decide to sell the Tesla I'm about to buy, GMTV will be the first company I contact for an offer.

What car are you going to replace it with? I'm considering the Q4 etron but not sure how much I'll miss the 20-30 miles of extra range.

Sounds like you're not well setup to maximize your resale value.

Edit - And I have to add, who buys a car for software? We bought this vehicle for the following top reasons:

- Wanted an EV
- Performance, acceleration
- SUV/hatchback design with room for stuff
- Appearance
- Pushing Ford to move forward, or it, and the American auto industry, won't be around in 10 years.
- Son works for Ford Credit, we get A-Plan pricing and support his company

Ford is not a software company. Ford is not a tech company. Anyone buying this vehicle because of software didn't do their homework IMO. Our 2018 Fusion Energi didn't do an OTA in the 3 years we owned it, and that was just for Sync. Their Support for tech issues has always been awful. We have to push them to keep improving.
Easy, they have there reasons which may or may not be a good one to you-their car, their choice. Just asking us a about resale help. I have no idea on resale value, but anyone selling has two strong things on their side today; Gas Prices, and Vehicle Availability, New and used.

Please let us know how you do!

Sounds like you should get back what you paid.

Just curious though, what do you want to buy instead?

Pretty much all the BEVs on the market are giant buggy cell phones. You going back to ICE?

I’ve only had my GTPE a few weeks, but having to drive my wife’s 2015 Flex feels like I traveled back in time to the dark ages.
