The software issues go beyond bugginess, though heaven knows that's a horror show in its own right. I can't stand a lot of the UI designs Ford has made with respect to how many taps are needed to see something that should either be one tap away or displayed ALL THE TIME and that's something that bothers me every single time I drive the car and they're almost certainly never going to change, at least not before I either sell the car or shoot myself in the face with a bazooka.
I agree with you and I might be following that trend. Every software will have bugs on the first release, the speed in which they are fixed will tell how much the company gives an F about their product or not.

Gotcha. Bazooka shots are permanent ?. I’m more on the how does the car drive side vs. how great is the tech implementation. But that’s because it’s my wife’s car and I don’t have to drive it daily.

Well, at least there is a plethora of other EV options either currently or soon to be released, maybe one of them will fit the bill. And one hopes that Ford’s lessons learned sessions will result in MME mud-cycle updates fixing many of the flaws.

A HA!

Now we know the source of all the problems. Y'all are trying to off-road vehicles not meant to be off-roaded. Maybe get a Wranger 4xe? @SnBGC likes his a lot.

Sounds like you're not well setup to maximize your resale value.

Edit - And I have to add, who buys a car for software? We bought this vehicle for the following top reasons:

- Wanted an EV
- Performance, acceleration
- SUV/hatchback design with room for stuff
- Appearance
- Pushing Ford to move forward, or it, and the American auto industry, won't be around in 10 years.
- Son works for Ford Credit, we get A-Plan pricing and support his company

Ford is not a software company. Ford is not a tech company. Anyone buying this vehicle because of software didn't do their homework IMO. Our 2018 Fusion Energi didn't do an OTA in the 3 years we owned it, and that was just for Sync. Their Support for tech issues has always been awful. We have to push them to keep improving.
Thank you for your feedback.

GMTV gave me $54k for my MME Premium RWD Standard Range with 3k miles. They had a third party transport company pick up the car last week and their equity check just cleared. I paid $47k in August and will get the full $7500 back with my tax return. Now I'm just biding my time driving my old F150 thinking about getting another MME on 1/1/22.

Oh, and for anyone curious, though a lot of dealers are putting markups on their cars, they aren't always set in stone. I reached out to one last week that had essentially the same car I just sold, with a $2500 dealer markup. With very little pressure from me, they dropped it back to MSRP.

This is true in our case as well. We went to a dealer to trade my wife’s Telluride in. They gave us more than we paid 8 months ago and then the Explorer ST we ended up buying had a 5k markup on it but we got them to drop that pretty quickly. Came away with a really good deal on a seriously nice SUV for her

Curious what made you ditch the Telluride. My wife is really wanting one.

My wife loves her Telluride. KBB has it valued at $6k more than I paid for it 2.5 years ago. I may look to upgrade the model if I can find the right one without ADM.

I can’t speak for all of them, but the one she had had a very noticeable shake at highway speeds that the dealer couldn’t get rid of. It rode fine under 60 but take it above that and you can feel the entire car shake. Dealer tried balancing and replacing tires, put some kind of shim on the driveshaft and a few other things. The problem never went away. My wife wasn’t happy with paying $50k for a car that rode like that. Everything else with the car was pretty stellar (aside from me thinking it was absolutely hideous)

My dealer had my GT marked up at $15k above MSRP  I did pay over, but by $2500.

Your list of reasons is almost identical to mine. The desire to push the industry forward is something a lot of people don't really appreciate, but it was a big draw for us to go fully electric.
