All manufacturers have recalls like these. Doesn't seem exceptional to me.

I found it exceptional. All manufacturers have recalls like these. Doesn't seem exceptional to me.
Is a mechanical recall on all vehicles exceptional?I found it exceptional.
Besides being all vehicles, it's a mechanical recall and a potentially dangerous issue and could cause a loss of steering control.
Because one torque wrench can fix all of the recalled Rivians. The HVBJB repair is more complicated. Also, Ford EV techs are like bigfoot, there are sightings, but no actual confirmation of their existence.Ironically Rivian is doing what Ford should do, recalling all vehicles for customer safety. Why can't Ford do the same for the HV battery SVS issue, instead of the OTA that does not fix the issue. Instead the MME's are ticking time bombs with no proactive recall like Rivian.
We have a service center in town. When I had my test drive, they had a dozen or more service bays and most contained vehicles. Not sure I'd they were being prepped for delivery or being serviced. Probably a mixture of both.Where do you even get a Rivian serviced?
I agree with the sentiment, but apples to oranges here. Retorquing a bolt is not the same thing as droppi.g a battery pack. The software doesn't fix the problem, and wasn't intended to- it warns of the problem so it can be fixed. That's all.Ironically Rivian is doing what Ford should do, recalling all vehicles for customer safety. Why can't Ford do the same for the HV battery SVS issue, instead of the OTA that does not fix the issue. Instead the MME's are ticking time bombs with no proactive recall like Rivian.
