And updates on wind noise? Did you originally have some and now don't?
On expressway tonight and about the same amount of wind noise.

Several months ago I was driving and suddenly there was a loud bang - like the sound of a brick hitting the roof. Scared the crap out of me. I got out and looked over the roof and the rest of the car and couldn’t see anything amiss. Got back in and drove for a few minutes and it happened again. I immediately drove it to the dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong.

A few weeks later I found a notice about the recall for the roof and windshield issues, but my car was not in the date range of the recall. But I called my Mach-e service guy at the dealer and told him that there was a recall, but not for my car, and the symptoms we had checked out together were likely the cause. He said he couldn’t do much about it because there wasn’t a recall. But then a few weeks later they expanded the manufacturing date and my car was in it. So in early October I tried to get an appointment for this but they didn’t have parts. They still don’t have parts and don’t know when they’re going to get any. But now I have wind sounds coming from the windshield or the roof so I know that it’s actually separated. Hopefully we won’t have a problem with it flying off.

My dealer finally got back to me after a month of me calling every few days. They don’t have a body shop so I have to drive 100 miles over a mountain pass to a dealer who can do the job. In the meantime I was hit by a rock off a county snowplow and now have crack in the windshield.

I don’t even think they’ll do the recall with a crack as the glass is compromised and has a higher probability to shatter. If they don’t properly inspect it before the recall, they may do it and you end up with a replacement for free or they call and tell you it’ll be $X for the new windshield to do the recall.

I had my recall done two weeks ago. I had a small chip in the window up by the rearview mirror. When I picked up the car they never made any mention of it but they replaced the windshield. Obviously we were rather happy about it.

I had the recall done this week. I dropped off the car on Monday morning, and it was ready at 3pm on Wednesday. The glass seems fine, but I noticed a couple small imperfections from dropping the headliner. The gasket around the driver's door is damaged in a couple of places and there's a small hole in the headliner just below the driver's grab handle. Not earth-shattering, but damage that wasn't there before. The dealer is ordering a new gasket and headliner.

My car looks and sounds perfect. I really don't know that I want to do this.
I feel the same way . They bring in someone from a glass specialist to inspect it then that person will be installing the seals. That will be taking a couple days.
I am a little bit worried about this. They are going to mess with the entire top glass roof. I haven't had any trouble yet. I am afraid that this might cause some later.

Let me first say, my FE Mache is a super great car to drive, but! I am very concerned that Ford let the ball drop when they built the car. I have seen nothing but problems with the early builds. How many years has Ford been building cars? Most of us have probably spent over $60,000. for a car that needs to be in the shop every other week with updates and repairs. Where is the quality control at Ford, did they take a vacation when our cars were built. I have very little faith in getting the roof recalls done without damage to the car. I personally know a few people that have had the windshield and roof recalls done and they say its perfect. I really wonder? If so, Great. How did Ford not know how much glue is needed to install the windshield and Pano roof? I have owned 6 NEW Fords since 2003. and never a problem with the windshields. Ford needs to do better in terms of providing rebates for the cars that has been poorly built. I will be waiting for quite some time to get the windshield and roof repaired. In the meantime, I will drive and enjoy the car as it was built from the factory. Thanks for letting me rant!

So I will start my Pano and windshield recall notes on this thread maybe Ford will take note. We should get a All electric rental car not a ICE Car

Dropped off Car at dealer 7:15 Am 12/27/2021

Told Two Days to fix

FORD/Dealer outsourced fix to some Body shop 10 miles away from Dealer.

On third day 12/29/2021 started getting the alerts, front Door open passenger door open, hatch open, rear hatch open. SO two days to start working on it. Why take the car on APPOINTMENT until your ready to work on the car. Ugh hate lack of organization.

Day 4 Dealer calls me says they broke the Windshield won't be until next week maybe longer.

Day 5 put $60 in gas in Rental Car. (Mind you I get FREE charging at work, been driving my Mach-E since April have not paid a DIME for charging and the darn thing doesn't have a gas tank bahaha)

So far the recall has cost me $60 and time away from my favorite car, as she sits in a lonely garage with who knows what's being done to her. ;-) Happy New Year

How are the early builds any different from the ones a few months ago?

I think people really need to take the advice previously provided and do their homework. Ask your dealer if they're doing the service themselves, if outsourcing, is it already scheduled. Ask if they have an extra windshield on hand.

I don't really understand everyone complaining about getting an ICE rental. I mean, what? People can barely even find a Mach-e right now, yet they expect Ford to have had all dealers put a bunch of electric loaners aside? It constantly perplexes me, but oh well.

LOL I have to ask a multinational corporation if they are outsourcing, if they are going to start work as THEY scheduled, if they have extras on hand in case they break it.

Ok le't say I asked all those thing do you think they would say anything to the contrary? I think you saying as a consumer of a 60k car or ANY product of value, that I have to first scour the internet on Forums read advice from the consumers out here and ask a bunch of leading questions, otherwise I am complaining.

I was just sharing my experience my friend. Yes, this is POOR customer service, and YES it is squarely on the back of FORD, and yes I have Electric car I should get either a electric rental from whatever Fleet they can make up OR let's explore options like Free GAS to go with it the rental. Customer Service not customer doing the service making sure they know how to do THEIR job. This was FORD RECALL, I didn't fubar the car, they wanted to make it right. So do it right!

I will just leave it as-is until after 3 years trade it in for the next one. Cannot take the risk and leave it to clueless dealer to mess things up. It works perfect so I will stay away from these recalls.
