I would like to inquire whether the warranty policy regarding rust applies to my vehicle. If anyone is aware, I would appreciate it if they could inform me. I happened to notice the rust today. It is located on the part connected to the driver’s side wheel. The vehicle is 10 months old. Is this normal?

It's an eyesore, but completely normal.

You can't unsee it though, that's for sure

I don’t think rust in a 50-60,000 $ car is acceptable my ice mustang had a rusted chip on roof they fixed but half assed it. I think the corrosion warranty is forever? Not sure but believe it is longest standard warranty when all is gone. Tish tish Ford you guys better hope lions win superbowl or I’m going mopar again I’ve love my last three Fords but it’s for the car not service. Hope Martha Clay Ford used money on a defensive back…..or having blue cruise take me on suicidal driving run Is all for naught .

You are supposed to replace those every 75,000 miles or something. You are not meant to try and cherish it like it was supposed to stay with the car.

It’s really not an eyesore, is it, reeeeeeeeely?

It’s acceptable, don’t worry about it.

It’s not cosmetic, it’s not bodywork and chipped paint and corroding/oxidising exposed metalwork.

Mechanical parts and even bodywork underneath oxidised.

It’s a fact of life and an acceptable consequence of design and weathering.

Honestly ?

There’s enough else in life to worry about.

I haven’t seen many vehicles with independent suspension on their drive wheels that had non-rusted half-shafts. Most manufacturers do not paint them so they will develop surface rust. If this bothers you, do as @Space_Pony said and paint them. ?‍♂?

Just as an FYI, mine were displaying surface rust when I took delivery of my car, fresh off of the transport truck. ??
