Welp, it just happened, although I had run all the available FDRS updates months ago, and had the best of both worlds, enhanced BC and the centered speedometer when I disengaged lane-centering and adaptive cruise, and I had a few OTAs after that, and kept my centered speedo. Got a notification of OTA for 6.8 today (which doesn’t contain anything for the IPC) decided to run it, and now no centered speedometer. I am very sad.
I don’t know why Ford just doesn’t make it an option if lane assist, etc., isn’t in use? Like it was before. SOmany complaints on here about the change. Just seems like a such a simple fix to appease owners. ??‍♀

1, 2, and 6 can all be done by putting the HVAC system in Auto mode, and then just adjusting temperature up/down without really having to look at the display. Same for 7. Most of the time I set those and forget it, rarely touching them for days or weeks.

3: Pretty easy to have a set of preset channels (including Siruis XM channels or AM) and use the track forward/backward buttons on the steering wheel to change presets.

4: I use Carplay to get Apple Maps. Home and Work are presets that are always visible, and in the upper-left hand corner of the display. I've found Siri's voice commands to be about 80% accurate, so entering a different desitnation than home or work is pretty easy. Or I enter the destination while stopped/before I leave.

5: Carplay again. I can easily browse playlists on the main screen, pick one, and then stream to my heart's content. And again, use the track forward/backward buttons on the steering wheel to skip songs I don't want to hear.

I also use BlueCruise/ACC/LKA so I can safely look down at the screen to make changes that require more than a glance at the screen.

But if you find yourself constantly fidgeting and changing those things during a routine drive, maybe you should go back to driving school and learn how to minimize such kinds of distractions.
Well, you a freaking genius and I must be an idiot - all I want are controls that don’t distract me for 5 seconds when conditions change.

Maybe I should just oft myself. Although for being such an idiot, I don’t know how I accumulated multimillions.

FYI: I’m in the process of evaluating a different EV. I’ll eat the cost and blame it on a poor decision.

, this is my last post, as I’m fed up with (idiots like you) reading posts from geeks telling me how to drive.

a. how many recalls the Mach e has?
b. How many people have cars that bricks?
c. How ford can’t figure out how to open a hatch from inside the car?
d. That dealers can’t sell these.
e. How many others comment about software.
e. How many don’t get updates.
f. How updates screw up many cars.

It’s a pice of sh@t!!!! Period!!! And I was an idiot for buying one.

don’t bother replying. this is my last post, as I’m fed up with (idiots like you) reading posts from geeks/idiots telling me how to drive.

I too am deeply bothered by fords decision to do this. In fact, I changed the mind of 2 friends who wanted a Mustang. They purchased other brands.
If you managed to "change the mind" of two people to not buy a Mach-E - because of the speedometer position, here's a tip: they were never going to buy a Mach-E to begin with and you did nothing to influence them.

All of these threads should just be immediately locked. These posts are always the most ridiculous things I read here.

For real. People sound like they've disabled the gauge screen entirely

I'm surprised you haven't sold yours already, and announced your departure from this forum like others have.
