I will likely end up with a Rivian R1T if business tax incentives stay the same as this year.
You will love it. Get the Tri-Max.

I was originally thinking the dual motor performance Max battery but with all that you might as well get the Tri-motor

Apparently the EV Tax credit ends 9-30-25 with the BBB.
That's true but business owners can write off 60% of the value of their vehicles they use for the business.

At the derated chargers you used, yes. No EV is going to charge well on derated chargers.

Actually the Lucid would still be a little better because it gets better mi/kWh, so you need fewer kWh to go the same distance, and wouldn't need to charge as long. But that's minor relative to your main point that some chargers are still bad. That's true. You just happened to run across an exceptionally high % of them, even for EA.

Have you tried any Superchargers yet? They're usually more dependable than EA. Both Ford and Lucid have access to them. My Gravity will have a native NACS port so I may find myself using SCs more than I do now, but I've used both as needed.
I only use Electrify America as their DC chargers are super fast… but not too plentiful.

And with the Tri you get a much nicer interior. I was surprised how much more upscale it feels. I test drove a DM, and was not very impressed with the interior. But the Tri interior is very, very nice.

You also get a lot of included features such as the electronic Dynamic Roof and upgraded audio system. Lots of people hate the base audio system, but I think the upgraded one sounds really, really good.

BTW - in Conserve mode, the Tri is just as efficient as the DM on the highway. In the city it might be a little less efficient, since it does use the rear motors in some acceleration scenarios.

31kw often means a bad temp sensor in the cable.
Oddly if i attempt to use P&C at an EA station I usually end up with this 31kw. But if I pre-activate the charger I'll get over 100kw for the grand majority of the cycle. Why? It makes no sense. EA and Ford couldn't explain it but I'd sent them video of it years ago havn't DCFC'd in a year and a half.
But had tossed the idea of driving to my dads in Cali with my MME. The 3 possibly 4 full DC charges each way put a big stop on that thought.

I'm a Job 1 owner from 2021, and sadly said goodbye to my MME this week. Its the first electric I've owned and I will never go back.
Why did I sell? One word: range. We have a beautiful new granddaughter in Ohio and the MME takes two charging stops to get there. It adds an hour+ to our trip. I bought a used Lucid Air Touring (directly from the Lucid site) and its now a 1-stop trip.
All that being said, I loved my MME.
Standouts:
- Fast and fun - the torque and speed
- Looks great on the outside and hassle-free cool tech on the inside
- Its Electric (duh) - No oil changes, no worn brakes, no gas stops (charge at home), saving $$, helping our planet
- Dealer experience: Tom Mason Ford (in Reading, PA) was excellent to deal with thru the recalls and routine servicing
- THIS FORUM - I learned so much and received so much (needed) assistance and advice thru my MME journey
Would I recommend a Mach E? Without hesitation - unless you frequently travel longer distances and the range (I topped out @ 270m) is an issue.
Thanks all and enjoy your ride!

Sorry to see you go! And I do understand - road trips take more time, but that can actually be good!

My wife and I have been doing 700 mile road-trips for 3 years now, in the MME. While I understand the time charging adds, we have enjoyed the breaks, walking some grabbing a meal, using the facilities. It really just takes a change in expectations and a little more time.
With BlueCruise, and the regular breaks to stand up, move and take a break from sitting, we find we arrive in better shape and less exhausted/tired. We take advantage of the time, and get to "stop and smell the roses" so to speak.

I hope you enjoy your new car! I like the look of the Lucid, and certainly, the range is great! A little pricy for me (don't know how much a used one would be?), but I do hope you enjoy your car, and it enables you to spend more quality time with your family! Our road trips are to visit our 3 grandchildren, so I really do understand! Take care and let us know how you like the Lucid!

Congratulations on the new grandaughter! I understand the desire to shorten the trip as much as possible. If you get a chance, I’m sure I’m not the only one that would like to hear a review/comparison on the Lucid. Safe travels!
Oh hey, I can help here. I have a Lucid Air Pure and a Mach-e. Lucid’s ride is hands down better than the MME but I like how the MME sits higher and isn’t as awkward to get in and out of. I also like the bigger screen of the MME. I’m trying to think of other things that are different. Charging and range is obviously better in the Lucid but really I’m struggling to highlight the differences. I love them both!

That is wildly odd, since the activation method should have nothing to do with the power level delivered. ?

I was thinking something happen(s)ed while it was provisioning. Along with it taking forever, usually around 3 to 4 minutes the EA station would hick-up and start again or freeze on it's spinning connection. Of corse no one on the phone could get to logs on the station or car to see what was actually going on so I ended up just giving up on it.

Lucid are great cars, but I seen a few comments by financial analysts they most say that they are close to 50/50 shot of going bankrupt by the end of 2026 (Especially if the Saudi's ever pull their investment). The EV market is not getting any friendlier which doesn't help either.

Congratulations on your new car. I wonder if you'll find that the faster charging curve is more important than the "range". What kind of bladder capacity do you and your wife have? Don't you have to stop twice for bathroom breaks anyways? If you can get a good charging speed while you're going pee, that would be better than trying to "hold it" in until your bladder is about to burst because your car has a big battery with a longer range.

Charging infrastructure continues to improve on all my trips, so I rarely care about range anymore. My bladder is not that big. Nowadays, I care about charging speed. Your Lucid Air has 900V architecture and can charge faster, at least in theory, but in reality it will depend on the quality of the chargers on your route and other factors.
Good point - we always try for 1 stop on the way home! And the available charging networks in western PA / West Virginia / eastern Ohio mostly aren't where we'd pick for our stops. A faster (20 minute) charge is definitely preferable. I'll report back from our first trips...
