I see some others have had this issue some time back, I'm wondering if anyone has a current solution. Since new I've never been able to set a charge level less than 100%. I have set the charge schedule for both weekdays and weekends according to the off-peak times and set the charge level to 90% and clicked the use preferred charge settings in the app. What am I doing wrong?

I have been having the same problem after a recent update. I just tried wiping everything on the charge screen out and reentering everything. I will charge tonight and see if it works.

Charging to less than 100% is based on location, maybe the car is having trouble getting a GPS signal. I've had this issue too but it only happened one time.

The steps you have to go through to follow the manual's recommendation and charge to 90% seems unnecessarily complicated.

I had this issue and realized that I had never toggled the vehicle>charging>preferred times>home from "charge when plugged in" to "use preferred charge settings". I thought it would toggle automatically when I set charging times and level. It did not.

I had the same problem until someone said to make sure the "charge when plugged in" setting is not on. I overrides everything.

I tried the suggestions given here and thought I had it licked. I deleted all the locations and entered the current one, set the times for both weekdays and weekend and set to 90%, clicked the use preferred charge settings and this morning it is 100%.

Curious if while the car is actively charging and you look at the details in FordPass. Does FordPass say ‘Charging at Home’ or whatever you named the location?

When you set the location did you leave it unchanged, I mean even if the house number was wrong, but the location on the map was right? Don’t change the address.

I had the same thing happen to me about a month ago. I have had my car for going on 3 years with only annoying FP issues, like departure times not working. I tried everything suggested for this one and no matter what I did it would charge to 100%. Even though the in car settings should override what you do in FP I feel that is where the problem lies. You could turn off FP completely (not just BT but the app) and try it from the car only. For me, the problem just disappeared the same way it showed up. I still don't understand why Ford would invest so much in the development of this car but use an existing app that is designed for other vehicles.

Thanks for the suggestion I will check it out when I'm able to charge again. I accepted the address that was given according to the coordinates, it wasn't complete but I left it.

Yes, I checked it out and it does say that it is charging at home and has the right address and is the only location I have saved. I appear to have the car set right but the app shows 100% charge level and I can't figure out how to change it. Does this mean the app overrides the car? I suppose I could uninstall the app and see what happens, but I shouldn't have to do that. I stopped it this morning at 91% so I'm sure it was heading to 100%.

The car is supposed to feed the schedule back to the app and vise versa. So it seems like the app is the issue.

Maybe try updating the app while the car is running (on), so it's talking to the Ford mothership. With the car on, go into the FordPass app and update the charge times. Vehicle >> Charging >> Preferred Times. Make sure "Home" shows the "Use preferred charge settings" radio button selected. Not "Charge when plugged in". Click on your address. Set the max charge level and times to your desired settings and click save on the bottom. If the save button won't activate (greyed out) try changing the charge level to something other than 90%, like 85% or 80% just to see if the settings will take (you can change it to 90% later). I'm guessing that the settings in the car may or may not show the change immediately. Maybe wait until your next scheduled charging session and see what happens.

Thank you, I tried to get the preferred times and it says that first I have to select a saved location which I only have the one, home, but when I click on saved location nothing comes up or last location either. The problem is the app and of course this is after getting the usual " fp isn't responding now, please try later. My phone did come over on the mayflower, a note 9, is that the problem? I do have a new phone that I need to get switched to, just wanted to delete a lot of the garbage before I transfer stuff.

Maybe it's the old phone? ?‍♂

Sorry to bother again, but it works the same on my old phone and the new one. On the car I'm able to save the location although it does give the wrong town when it gives that address when I select my home coordinates. In the car I can save this location and charge level. On the app I can enter the same location and charge level but it won't let me save it on either phone and I'm sure that is why it is defaulting to the 100% charge level. Any ideas?

Not really. I would try deleting the location from the car and app. Wait a day. Charge the car at home for a few minutes. Add the location and settings in the car. Don’t do anything in the app. Let the car feed the settings to the app.
