I installed my Craig's yesterday. I had previously purchased this in hopes that I could make it work in lieu of the uber-ugly front license plate bracket that came installed on my car ?, but sadly none of the bracket slots lined up with the holes in my bumper. However it turns out the bracket fits perfectly with the Craig's and does an excellent job of raising the plate - hopefully out of range of the radar sensors. (See the red circles in photo below for where I attached the bracket to Craig's.) I've only driven the car a very short distance since installing it, but I think it's going to work fine. An added bonus is that there is more support for the front plate and I prefer the finished look of having a frame around the plate as well. If I have problems with it triggering the sensors, I'll update this post accordingly.

Edit: still not tons of driving, but enough slow city driving that I think it's going to be fine...

It's working fine so far. I've driven the car a fair bit, including at freeway speeds (no road trips though). I periodically check the bracket and the seems just as tight as it was when I first installed it.

I've had a few overly sensitive front collision alerts since installing this frame, so I lowered the sensitivity to Medium in the Sync app (it had been set to High), and haven't had any issues since.

Hi! Just got a new match e and wanted to see if the bracket is a permanent fix and not causing any issues? Thanks for the help.

I ended up doing a major modification. I was having a lot of problems in the local car wash. The bracket kept getting caught up on the rotating cloths that clean the car and that was pulling the bracket down. (The adhesive was separating from the bumper - the bracket mount was not bending.)

When my Mach E was delivered the front license plate bracket was installed, so I already had two holes drilled in the bumper. So I ended up putting screws through the plastic bracket plate that I'd bought on Amazon and now the thing is rock solid. The end appearance is identical to before, so I'm happy with the mod. (I didn't love having to make this change, but it is what I is and it looks the same.)

If you don't go to automatic car washes, I think my original setup would have been fine.

Glad I found this thread! I've been going nuts trying to figure out what's been intermittently setting off my parking sensors. I even scheduled a service appointment to have the dealer look at it.

I'm a little bummed to discover the plate bracket wasn't specifically designed for the Mach-E. Too bad Craig isn't interested in designing one either.

I'd like nothing more than to go sans front plate, but I'd prefer not to get pulled over and ticketed. In that case, I'll have to try this fix and see if it helps stop the incessant warnings.

Any suggestions as to where I may find metal extension brackets?

Update:

I bent my Craig's mount to a different angle so the bottom of the plate hugs closer to the front fascia. Also, I pushed the mount in as far as it can go on the mounting plate. This seems to have gotten everything out of the sensor's line of sight. I still plan on raising the plate on the mount by using extension brackets. Just need to figure out what I can use for the brackets.

I 3D printed some at home, they aren't pretty, but you don't see them with the tag installed on the car anyway. But no more sensor falsing since I put them on about a year ago.

I thought I would update this thread in case anyone is looking at this as a solution. It seems that Craig did indeed update this product to address the proximity sensors. Here is a snippet of the description and a link to the product.

https://ccmustangbrackets.com/products/2021-mustang-mach-e?variant=41064990015688

Update: While we've sold hundreds of these brackets without any reported problems, a few customers have expressed concerns about the bracket being slightly low, which could trigger the front proximity sensors. In response, we've implemented a minor redesign, elevating the bracket face by one inch to avoid this issue while ensuring it remains concealed behind the license plate. Starting April 23, 2024, all Mach E and Mach EGT brackets dispatched will feature this new design. We appreciate your feedback, which helps us enhance our products for our customers.
