Hey everyone,

My car constantly has this issue where the foam that’s to be covered by the weather seal pulls away. Always fixing this. I’ve seen someone else with this problem also. Anyone have this and had it resolved?

If you’re still under the B2B warranty, the dealer can fix it.

Well, it could be a Chevy.... The 2017 Camaro convertible I had that was my father's had the interior trim pieces having the plasti-dipped components peeling everywhere (steering wheel, center console, parts of the dash) and when I sold it recently with only 30k miles on it, the cloth seats were splitting at the seams.

Anyhow, I wonder if you could punch that into Google Gemini or ChatGPT and see if it can find any suggestions for you?

Duct tape?
If you want it to stick: duct tape. If you want it to slide: WD-40. These two solve 80% of humanity’s problems 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have the same issue because I ran my rear FitCamX camera cable thru there.
I was thinking some super sticky black tape might help to blend it in with the weatherstripping but I haven't tried it yet. I'm afraid when it gets hot in the cabin the adhesive might leave a mess.

I would use good-quality contact cement. We use this for fastening upholstery in cars and airplanes. Contact cement has the advantage that it sticks immediately upon positioning and doesn't require clamping or holding like rubber cement. The downside is that it sticks immediately on contact, so initial placement needs careful attention. It comes in an aerosol can too but that can be messy for small jobs.
