@Administrator: Looks like we really should have kept the information from the reservations list to show that Ford schedulers don't know how to count or to use a calendar. Please add the reservation date back into the table so we can show Ford paid no attention to order.
BTW, I have my VIN. Please add 11/17/19 reservation date, 12/14/20 build date and 3FMTK3SU2MMA0xxxx to my entry. Thanks.

Yes! Reservation --> build would be a much more informative data point than order -->build. I think everyone was expecting reservations to sequence into order priority. As long as you converted your reservation to an order within the specified timeframe, you should keep your priority.

Order Date: 27 JUN 2020, one of the earliest received orders.
Dealer confirmed in his system today that above is true with an estimated arrival date between 10-15 DEC 2020.

I'm glad to see my Mach E scheduled but disappointed the email from Ford a few minutes ago said:
"We are excited to let you know your 2021 Mustang Mach-E First Editionhas been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of December 14 2020."

Once we see more we'll understand better what this means for production. However, mine is a First Edition. A preliminary look says they are interleaving First Editions with other models to a significant extent or production is slated to be really slow.

@ChasingCoral when did you submit your order? I’m wondering if order submission maybe pulled you ahead to a build window of X number of build units for build stages. So of 5k units, say you submit order before the rest of your cohort despite ordering last, you skip them within that bracket?

Reservation: November 17, 10:15 pm -- the night of the reveal when they first opened up the reservation system
Converted to order: June 27, 8:34 am -- the morning they opened the ordering system

Dude, Jan 2020 order and November build!! What is this nonsense with me bothering to reserve the night of the reveal for no reason.

It seems to me that some of the rarer configurations are benefitting from what looks to be a more even load of configuration options in the build schedule. In other words, a 20k reservation number may be in the top 10 or 20 for that particular configuration due to how rare it is. It then gets scheduled similar to the 20th AWD ER, which probably has a 4xxx, 5xxx or 6xxx number...

I think some of the Ford insiders have stated this type of approach occurs to balance the assembly line. Makes sense to me.

My dealer just called and told me my production week is either 12/7/2020 or 12/14/2020!! Sure am glad you were wrong about your prediction of April to June 2021!!

That's great for you. Unfortunately we have people who ordered their cars almost 4 months ago and reserved them 11 months ago and have build dates after yours -- or no build date at all yet.

I’m more inclined based off the previous erroneous email blasts to think this is just a mistake rather than a build issue, but who knows. Definitely not making any friends for allowing cutsies

Any indication if dealers will be able to get ahold of some of the scheduled then cancelled orders for those with early reservations, but later dates? Or will the cancellations just go to the dealers whom ordered them for retail, their customers?

Seems like good will for everyone would have been to arrange for all those that reserved the night of the reveal to get the cars to them by Dec. 31st- if they converted to order reasonably quick- I'm sure the logistics are complicated.

Everything in the VIN except for the last five digits (and the checksum digit) can be inferred from the trim and configuration of the car.
