I did a quick search and dont see anything,

Has anyone else had issues with the sunglasses holder not having enough padding or not holding your glasses correctly?

I put mine into it, lenses facing forward, and every time the next time I open it the lenses are down on the little cutout area.

It marred one pair so badly I had to replace them, and now its doing it to the new pair.

Ideally Ide like to find an insert or something to actually keep them facing correctly in there. My other 2 vehicles dont have this issue, and its probably super simple. Anyone else already "solved" this one?

Thanks in advance

I lined my sunglass holder with adhesive-backed craft foam. Got from Amazon. You could also get from any JoAnn's, Michaels, and potentially the crafting section at WalMart.

Aside from buying a thin glasses case to put your glasses in, then put into the glasses holder, I haven't seen one.

Before the felt liner, I was using a spare microfiber glasses cleaning cloth. Felt is easier to deal with, once installed.

Yeah, I just don't use my sunglass holder for that reason. Maybe if there's demand, @AOSK could do something. It's definitely a shortcoming on the MME

@AOSK makes this that has a rubber piece for the sunglasses holder. You have to get the V2. I got it just for the sunglasses piece but actually use all of them and like it. It has stopped the rattling. I don’t think it fully prevents my sunglasses from moving to a new position slightly, but they haven’t been damaged.

One of the @AOSK inserts goes in the eyeglasses holder and pads them nicely.

I actually pointed this out to @AOSK and they added this apparently to their kit, but then never sent me this addition ?

I use some foam lining my sunglass holder to prevent glasses damage, and also I found sometimes my glasses rattled in there without some padding since that inside is hard plastic. I hate rattles, a little foam solved the issue.

I have the AOSK rubber insert and it's great as a non-slip insert, but not something I'm willing to put a decent pair of glasses in. I'd love something with a more scratch-friendly surface.

Oh then the Michaels route is what you want to do (or Amazon where I got my stuff -- I don't understand Michaels and find it intimidating).

I use the case my sunglasses came in. Sunglasses are a perpetual year-round thing here, so it's extremely rare that I attempt to take them out while driving.
