According to Ford Pass my adapter is to be available sometime in May. I called Ford today and they said they are experiencing supply chain issues.
Musta been that ship that hit the bridge.
Ford: "That goodness that happened, we almost had to back pedal on this promised date too, now we can use Supply Chain Issue (TM) again."

The "supply chain issue" is really a demand issue. Between Mach-E and Lightning there are over 200,000 vehicles. Now add Rivian, then GM, then... Plus MagicDocks.

I work in the logistics industry and there’s no supply chain issues. It’s all smoothed out (except for BWI but that’ll be resolved shortly) and isn’t a legit excuse in 2024.
So where are the adapters. Apparently the supply is not there or they would be shipping them. There was a supply and probably production issue before the bridge collapsed.

Yeah it's crazy to say there are no supply chain issues. There are issues in supply chains all over all the time and have been for as long as there have been supply chains. A factory has a fire, or is hit by a tornado, or there is political unrest in a country that is the main exporter of some mineral.

Sure there are no huge backlogs in shipping or a larger overall supply chain concern, but there can absolutely be a "supply chain issue" where that issue is just that Tesla believed they could produce X number of adapters but the actual production process is only putting out 20 a day instead of 30. It happens all the time, and in this case Tesla is part of the "Supply Chain" to Ford for these adapters.

Is the Tesla to Ford/GM/Rivian adapter made in Buffalo, while A2Z is made in China?

I dunno, but it has nothing to do with logistics bottlenecks. There’s no materials stuck on a ship off of Long Beach, nor a lack of chassis to move containers around the country, nor issues with freight movement in East Asia.

Tesla
A2Z is designed in Montreal, made in China. Don't know about the Tesla adapter...
Buffalo, New York plant makes the Superchargers and Magic Docks.

That will work for L2 Tesla Destination Chargers. If you’re looking to plug in at Superchargers, you’ll need a CCS adapter, not a J1772. Currently your only non-Ford options are A2Z and Lectron.
It should be noted that neither of these are approved by Tesla nor Ford and are prohibited under their terms of service. If you use these unauthorized adapters and have an issue, don't expect any help from either of them. This includes issues that may result in damage to your car or the charging equipment.

I'm not saying issues are likely, but folks should know what they are signing up for.

Dude, everyone knows this. It has been discussed many, many times.

No car company is going to say 3rd party adapters are approved. The buyer is responsible, like the buyer is responsible when using a Tesla Tap. Or a random POS L2.

Lectron and A2Z are reputable companies and using one of their products isn't going to damage your car. But if you are worried about it, don't do it. The rest of us know what we are doing, and you don't need to worry about us.

I would not assume that everyone knows this, and I really would not assume that someone asking if a L2 adapter would work at a supercharger knows. I'm just providing the information. OP, and everyone else, is free to make their own choices.

Is this a decent adapter at $69, i’m not getting it, but I’ve just seen so many people say they’ve seen them for sale for a high price?
