Those prices are going to clear out their inventory immediately. They did a discount ($7,500) in December and when it stopped, the inventory levels jumped back up.

If you’re not particular about the ev you’re looking for, the prices just hit better.

I’m so happy for you, after I saw you walked away from the 11/28 thread. I got a M3 LR December. This changes our plans for the suv we were thinking about.
Appreciate it! All worked out in the end. Will be interesting to see how ford responds

This is a smart move by Tesla because of their great margins but super shitty for almost every other company that makes EVs.
a model Y long range is $71k in Canada, a similar spec Mach-e is $90k+. I’m sorry Ford but despite how much I like my Mach-e, there is no way I would pay $20k more for it over the model y If I was to buy now :(

Now add the tax credit on top of that..
Yes. And? Explain in detail exactly how Ford is “in trouble.” Are they about to go bankrupt? Are losses piling up so much they're going to abandon ev’s? A lot of hyperbole over this.

Ford still has the F-150 lighting. All other car manufacturers are going to lose so much money over EVs. I would almost call out Tesla for monopolistic practices.
Great for consumers, and hope this speeds up the conversion to BEV.

Slows their momentum that they built up for the mach-e. When you’re tasked to increase production and eat into a market share on a segment that you will most likely have to cut prices on and lose money? Going to be interesting to see how they handle it

Tesla decide to kill the market, and go after market share. I’m sure all the other car companies were salivating at converting the $7500 tax credit to higher prices.
