Happened to me with a GWM update last night updating a Lightning. Same Felix error. Just tried again and it pulled the files with no issues and without having to go the CAN route.
yea, CAN route was about 3 hours, so definitely avoid that one.

Both my '22 Lightning and '23 MME show a new OBCC update this afternoon:
Ford Mustang Mach-E The Complete DIY Guide to Updating Your Mach-E with FDRS MME_OBCC_Update_13_Feb-24

Normally a bulletin is released on OASIS sometime (like weeks later) after the software update is posted to FDRS. So I don't know what this update is designed to improve or correct. Somebody will figure it out. Might be something to do with charging on superchargers? Dunno.

Interesting -- perhaps this relates to supercharger access? Not showing for my 21.

It's been a while since I've done an update with FDRS...probably three or four months, maybe more. I had stopped because there was a dependency issue that had cropped-up where if you installed everything available it blocked you from getting a future needed update (or something like that, my old man memory is hazy).

Are we past that point? Is it safe to fire-up FDRS this weekend and update everything available for my '21 J1?

Thanks in advance for the insight.

Yeah, definitely time for you to fire up FDRS and do some updates.

I'm not aware of anything keeping you from updating everything this weekend.

If you have an IPMA update and you find that after the the modules are erased and replaced and it seems like the "configuration stage" is taking forever.....disconnect and reboot FDRS, and then reconnect and the IPMA should then configure properly. This has been reported on both MMEs and Lightnings.

Is there any danger to applying the IPMA and PSCM that have been outstanding for some time for my car?

My concern is that if I apply the updates via FDRS and I don't use Forscan as well, will I ever get the config changes needed to actually enable Bluecruise 1.4?

It appears that another IPMA and an APIM update would be needed to enable the config based on the key values that are mentioned in the post below.

I have spent some time looking at
https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...in-fdrs-for-over-a-week-now.33226/post-745852
and am a little reluctant because I see differences I didn't expect or things that don't appear to line up with the Forscan spreadsheet.

For example for key 7D0-09-05 the spreadsheet says:
Ford Mustang Mach-E The Complete DIY Guide to Updating Your Mach-E with FDRS Screenshot 2024-02-19 at 9.14.05 AM

But the post on how to enable Bluecruise 1.4 says to set the value to 2.

Is this just a case of the spreadsheet being out of date and not reflecting that a 2 means VL Automatic + Enabling some other feature(s)?

While I am not at the liberty of releasing the FORScan changes needed to activate BC 1.4 (yet), I can tell you that more is needed on that line than just changing that value to a 2. The changes needed to activate BC 1.4 on the new IPMA software have not been public, so you will not find it on the public spreadsheet.

Had 13 updates I did this past weekend on my 23' GT
Here are some notes for anyone in case it helps in the future.

Hardware:
Asus GL703GM Laptop w/win 11 (Seems any newer machine will be faster than obd2 port)
Corsair 32gb 3.0 USB A stick in exFat format
Bosch Mastertech 2 VCI
Clore PL6100 Power Supply (w/NEMA 5-15 to C19 cord)

FDRS (39.6.4) Install/License:

It seems on windows 11 or machines with edge, windows 11 has an "enhanced security" feature as well as an "edge secure network" VPN that seems to mess with login / registration of FDRS.
I could run a network test and pass everything but not login until I disabled these features and rebooted the pc.

Module Updating:

Followed the advice of MikeG and Machlee's help & guides, installing the GWM update first then started working my way down the list of 13 updates, longest being the CMR (1hr). Only thing of note was the USB updates sometimes took two tries to download and write to USB, sometimes the update itself would have to be started twice before starting but all that was fine until...

IPMA Update issue:

I knew the IPMA was a long update, but I started it at 8pm and by 11pm I was at a looping screen of "the module will now be configured" with a bar looping over and over. So, I let it sit until 8 in the morning and it was still stuck there until MikeG saved the day with the following procedure.
I closed FDRS, aborting the procedure even though it was warning me about bricks and such and restarted the program. The IPMA update was gone from the list but many CMDTCs were set and would not clear.
Power cycled the vehicle a few times, cleared the DTCs I could and ran the IPMA config program to ensure the correct config was in the module. I then installed the remaining BCM/PSCM updates and finished up with IPC last.
After doing this and another power cycle the modules all came back online and the DTCs cleared out fine showing all green.

All being said if I had bailed out of the IPMA update when it was actually finished the first night it was a 6-7hr process, other than the IPMA update being an issue it was easy, and I do notice new little things when the car is in radar cruise. Such as the cornering signs showing up below MPH now.

One thing I wanted to ask is the Fordpass app won't show any update or version change until another OTA comes through, right? I thought I read that in one of the replies in a guide on here somewhere.

Thanks to @Mikeg and @MachLee for the help and answering my random questions during the process!

Ty @rugedraw is there any procedure I need to have the dealer do in PTS, connected vehicle section to "reset" the updates so it knows which version I am on after doing all the updates in FDRS? Or they will just sync up with each other next time it goes through my batch of updates?
Thx

are not the complete set of changes?

Two keys in the APIM and three keys in the IPMA.
