Tesla recalls autos over software that allows them to roll through stop signs

I especially like this quote from the article.

Jonathan Adkins, executive director of the governors safety association, said he's not surprised that Tesla programmed vehicles to violate state laws. "They keep pushing the bounds of safety to see what they can get away with, and they've really been pushing a lot," he said. "Each time it's just a little bit more egregious. It's good to see NHTSA is pushing back."

My favorite was the part where Tesla has disbanded their Public Relations department. Must make I t easier to avoid telling people anything.

To be fair, Teslas are made in California. I'm not surprised FSD was designed to do "California stops".

Just wait until they turn Lane Sharing on lol. 6mph is a little fast, if it was like 2-1mph I don’t think anyone would care.

I know they try to have FSD act naturally, but I don't think it is nearly along enough to be able to handle something like a California roll.

I had a much closer encounter than I would have liked with what must have been Model 3 on FSD a few months ago while out running, and just based on that experience, I would not want to negotiate an intersection where the car was supposed to be smart enough to know when to blow the stop sign and when to actually stop.

As long as they don’t force us to drive the speed limit with blue cruise on. That would really piss me off.
