So what happened to 1/17?So here is the production scheduling plan for this week, which says cleanup for 1/24, and production scheduling for 1/31 through 2/24. Here we go again...
Good question, wish I knew. Actually, wish I knew how to find out.So what happened to 1/17?
Congratulations. It would seem that you getting scheduled pretty much nukes the idea that Ford schedules orders in the sequence they were received....Hey everyone. I order mine on October 30th. Last week my dealer called my to let me know my production week is the week of January 30. I really hope that date holds up
That was the last week for scheduling of cars sold BEFORE 9/27 that were originally 2021 models converted to 2022's.So what happened to 1/17?
If it’s a batch system they’re likely doing it by battery packs, drive train, trim, and then paint. It’s probably the fastest way to get things done. It’s also probably based on their supply constraints. They’d rather get 2 RWDs instead of 1 AWD. And 1.25 standard ranges for every 1 extended range.Congratulations. Thanks. Honestly who really knows. The salesman was really adamant that this only tentative and could change. Like I said earlier I really hope this date holds up because I figure I’ll get delivery in early spring. But my hopes aren’t very high right now.Congratulations. Sounds speculative, but you may be right. However, if Ford wants to go to a system of online customer ordering, the scheduling needs to reflect what customers want, not what's easier for them to build. If it’s a batch system they’re likely doing it by battery packs, drive train, trim, and then paint. I agree to an extent. I think right now as the CEO has said they were really caught off guard by the demand for the vehicle so they’re trying to figure out the best way to do all this while dealing with supply constraints. He’s really adamant on their 600k per year goal by 2023 so hopefully soon we see a huge ramp up and everyone gets their cars sooner rather than later.Sounds speculative, but you may be right.
