And don't obsess about the range! It can vary from day to day especially when there are changes in the temperature. Lots of people call the km to empty display the GOM (Guess-o-Meter) simply because it is not that realistic. Keep an eye on the % of charge remaining -- that will be your best indicator of when you need to recharge. And, speaking of recharging, some of the sage users on these forums recommend ABC: always be charging. If you have a home charger, plug the car in every night. It doesn't hurt anything and always keeps you ready to go in the morning.

Yes always plug in & use the destination leave time to prep battery when it's cold re below 10c. I generally set it so it doesn't do climate & finishes 20 min b4 I plan to leave. Then just put climate on just before I leave.

Keep your tires a couple of psi above recommended for longer range

Apply a coating of Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax or an equivalent product. Buy it at Walmart and apply it right away. My advice...... Save your money and avoid aftermarket parts and accessories. Instead, use your dough to take a road trip to a luxury hotel/resort. An enthusiastic and willing travel companion can make it a very rewarding experience.

If you are charging at home, set you charging schedule (either in the car or on the charger) to avoid charging at peak rates, and set your charging limit (80%).
He has a 2025 SR, which means an LFP battery. A 90% limit is fine. Per the battery FAQ, an LFP should be brought below 10% and charged to 100% once or twice per month. 🤔🐩

@TrashPanda if you don’t have a 240V EVSE (aka a “charger”), consider getting your parking spot wired for one. One of the biggest upsides to an EV is the ability to refuel at home. 😊🐩

Oh, the frunk is for chillin’, but only if you’re tiny because the 2025+ has a micro-frunk. 😅🐩

Remember, it is a computer, sometimes turning it off and on will fix it.
This is so true! And sometimes a full reboot of the infotainment system is needed. I'll leave how to do that as a research assignment, our young padawan!

Remember, it is a computer, sometimes turning it off and on will fix it.
One version of many:

Three engineers are riding in a car.
One is a mechanical engineer, one is an electrical engineer, and one is a computer engineer. The car breaks down and coasts to the side of the road.

"Hang on," says the mechanical engineer. "The problem is probably the engine, let me have a look at it and I'll have us on the road again in no time."

"Wait," says the electrical engineer. "The way it just stopped like that, I think it's the electrical system. Let me have a look and I'll get us going again in a minute or two."

"Hold on," says the computer engineer. "Why don't we all just get out of the car and get in again, and then see if it starts?"

- Feel good every time someone asks you how much you're paying for gas where you live. "$7 for a full charge, same as it has been for a couple years."
- Try to always have enough charge to get to the second option for charging. Charger reliability is improving but not good enough to confidently roll into the only charger in 50 km radius with 2% charge remaining.
- The km remaining indication GOM is based on recent driving history. When you change from low consumption driving (around town) to high consumption driving (120 km/h), it takes 50-100 km before the GOM will reflect the change in range. You can get a better estimate right away using Ford navigation to a charger along your route but after a few trips, you'll be able to make a pretty good estimate in your head.
- I find energy efficiency is mostly affected by: 1) driving speed 2) temperature 3) decelerating to a stop slowly. Unlike an ICE vehicle, EVs aren't affected much by how fast you accelerate so enjoy that.
- On hot and cold days, activate climate control a couple minutes before you get in the vehicle. It makes winter so much more enjoyable to get in a warm vehicle and it really doesn't use much energy.

Lane centering and lane keeping are two different things. It took me a while to realize that!

Lane keeping is the feature that kicks in when you get too close to the edge of the lane with the turn signals off, and tries to keep you inside the lane.

Lane centering kicks in when cruise control is on, and tries to keep the car exactly in the center of the lane.
