In Nov. 2022, Ford sent emails to a lot of Mach E owners to give us TripleCARE for windshield, dent, tire. But in reality, how useful is it?

1. My service advisor was able to find the TripleCARE in OASIS or FDRS system.

2. But when my Mach E got a broken windshield -- due to a flying rock from freeway. The area impacted was like the size of a quarter coin (~1 inch Diameter), I took my car to the dealership, and the dealer found the TripleCARE for the vehicle, but later found that the insurance company will not cover the replacement of windshield, only to REPAIR, which costs $125, and I will have to pay $75; the so coverage was like-- $50 only!!

Additionally, I had a nail on one of the tire, that was covered.
I also checked if TripleCARE covers chips (caused by flying rocks from highway/freeway on the paint of the hood) -- NO, it is not covered.

3. Also, I have previously posted a Topic on a failure to charge with some alerts/MIL; I tried some quick-fix from past experience by Mach E owner. The alert went away. I was worryied about it was possible HVBJB issues. Since then, the Mach E did not provide any errors/alerts. But,with help from the Ford rep. in this forum, Ford did open a CAS case for me, and ask me to took my car in. After I left my car at dealership last week, the dealer did find many alerts/warnings/error code in its OASIC/FDRS etc, -- but they did not know how to fix it。 I was told that dealer was still waiting for Ford's team to provide possible solution-- Hoping that on Monday, Ford will come up with something and advise dealer how to fix it. All these alerts/errors was not visible to me or no any noticeable warning signal or lights

Will update later.

There are other discussions about the value of this...

For me it boils down to tire/wheel hazard and minor paintless dent repairs. Windshield small crack repairs are free with my insurance.

Fixing door dings is a nice value. Not much else to it.

When I got TripleCare, I read the policy. It covers windshield repairs, i.e. minor chips and cracks It does not cover replacements. Stress cracks or cracks over 6 inches are not covered, neither is hail damage, or vandalism. Very clear.

There is no deductible. You should not rely on someone else to read your policy for you. He's confusing the transfer fee if you transfer it to another owner.

Dent care clearly says it doesn't cover repairs that affect or damage the vehicle's paint or finish, which is what a rock chip does.

You seem ungrateful for something that you got for free. That's a shame.

I have the triple care and used it for 5 small dents and my car looks like new (except for a crease in the front corner grill from a piece of metal from the freeway) and it was free. On Saturday I brought it in for the TPMS light on and they checked and inflated all my tires to the correct PSI. Only one tire was showing low and I added air but didn't know why it was still illuminated. I am happy they provided this extra coverage for free and will use it when the next A$$$$$$ dings my car.

Just curious, which dealer do you go to? Looks like my dealer in Irvine was not as nice.

I started going to Chino hills Ford because I wasn't happy with the service at citrus Ford in Ontario. The service techs at Chino hills know me by name and they have a certified EV technician who is knowledgeable.
