In Nov. 2022, Ford sent emails to a lot of Mach E owners to give us TripleCARE for windshield, dent, tire. But in reality, how useful is it?
1. My service advisor was able to find the TripleCARE in OASIS or FDRS system.
2. But when my Mach E got a broken windshield -- due to a flying rock from freeway. The area impacted was like the size of a quarter coin (~1 inch Diameter), I took my car to the dealership, and the dealer found the TripleCARE for the vehicle, but later found that the insurance company will not cover the replacement of windshield, only to REPAIR, which costs $125, and I will have to pay $75; the so coverage was like-- $50 only!!
Additionally, I had a nail on one of the tire, that was covered.
I also checked if TripleCARE covers chips (caused by flying rocks from highway/freeway on the paint of the hood) -- NO, it is not covered.
3. Also, I have previously posted a Topic on a failure to charge with some alerts/MIL; I tried some quick-fix from past experience by Mach E owner. The alert went away. I was worryied about it was possible HVBJB issues. Since then, the Mach E did not provide any errors/alerts. But,with help from the Ford rep. in this forum, Ford did open a CAS case for me, and ask me to took my car in. After I left my car at dealership last week, the dealer did find many alerts/warnings/error code in its OASIC/FDRS etc, -- but they did not know how to fix it。 I was told that dealer was still waiting for Ford's team to provide possible solution-- Hoping that on Monday, Ford will come up with something and advise dealer how to fix it. All these alerts/errors was not visible to me or no any noticeable warning signal or lights
Will update later.
