What? This is the first time I'm hearing about this ?That must be why it gets mentioned so much.
Do you need a dog like me? He runs out the door under the trunk and opens the hatchIt’s the damn kids! 50% of the time every time. Pull into the garage, put it in park, turn off, select menu just about to tap trunk open, someone opens the door. I know, I know wait to shut it off.

There are a lot of wants - I still remember the guy who mocked up a redesign of the IPC that was denser than an encyclopedia - but adding a trunk button to the top ribbon is just common sense. Big and obvious omission. The sync screen is going to be a very cluttered and busy place if we get all these wants.
I can see your point. In my case, I like very clean and extremely uncluttered interfaces. The ol less is more thing. If the powers that be were to put the trunk button there I’d find it even more cluttered than I think it already us, but it wouldn’t particularly bother me. It’s their design decision, not mine. There are a lot of wants - I still remember the guy who mocked up a redesign of the IPC that was denser than an encyclopedia - but adding a trunk button to the top ribbon is just common sense.
