My GT does NOT have an update for the APIM. So it appears GTs already have this update. I'm guessing it is the 1.7.1 OTA but we'll have to find out when someone does it.

My GT has what I believe is even newer software than the 1.7.1 (I posted screenshot with difference in another thread) but it has already lost the audio settings once. However it does not lose it at every key cycle. So I am not sure if the new software fixes the problem completely but it probably improves things...

For what it is worth... I just installed the update. I have Notes, and I show Ford Power up 1.4.0, still. I don't think that is a big issue, but I wanted to share.

Sync seems to be more responsive, or that is just what my mind needs me to believe.

Looks like older update still since CarPlay isn't full screen, 1.7.1 takes up that space, maybe it has to do that one before it can do the next one, but I literally have no idea.

1.7.1 does NOT do full screen carplay. The version in GT's does.

What about Apple Maps in instrument cluster? Are the regular models gonna get fullscreen CarPlay? I don't understand what the technical limitation would be?

Apple maps in the cluster DOES come with 1.7.1.

I am not sure when or if the full screen carplay will come to everyone. I would imagine it would if it is showing up in the less stable builds. I think it will likely just be a configuration file change to list what resolutions are supported. But I am not a developer so not sure what all it would take.

Since you updated via USB it won't show the power up version change. That only changes if you get the OTA.

Please let this fix the intermittent sound dropouts while using wireless Android Auto, drives me nuts.

Are you using wireless charging when this happens? I found that when my phone gets hot using wireless charging, Android Auto starts dropping bad. Probably some sort of CPU throttling to prevent damage to the device.

Yep... I could have probably been more clear with my post. If someone's OCD is flaring up over the power-up version, this isn't going to help that.

I’m concerned that this TSB has an extensive list of bug fixes, but fixing the alarm interior motion sensor bug is not among them. Neither is the screen reverting from dark to auto.

I just called and scheduled an appointment at my dealership to install it…will see how it goes!
