I think the biggest difference is the coverage area. The Tuxmats extend under the seats and around the front of the seat rails. They also climb up the side of the center console. The back seat mat extends all the way up to the seat cushion and wraps around. Not sure that much coverage is really needed, but it definitely covers a lot more than any other mats I've seen.I have had my eye on the 3D MAXpider Kagu mats, but as I'm waiting for my car I haven't pulled the trigger yet. There are not a lot of comparisons between the two out there, but they are similar in some ways to the Tuxmats, mostly in that they are not butt-ugly like most of the other options.
I could see how that would be helpful if the cargo load floor folded, but it's just one solid piece. I didn't bother ordering the Tuxmat cargo mat because the OEM rubber cargo mat seems fine for the trunk. They also look like they take the design of the cargo shelf in back into consideration and can crease and fold if you want to lift the panel and get underneath it.
