I am really tempted but the concern about the low clearance for my drive is stopping me pushing the button. Although my dealer has said my deposit would be refundable ??

I can't believe you wouldn't get your deposit back. I can't see your dealer would have a problem selling it.

Their IT really isn't joined up you can order a cancelled one with a wait time of 10 -12 weeks but ours haven't changed from 14-16 weeks on the ford uk site. If you weren't on this website you would have no idea what was going on.

I am going to sleep on it and also work out if the extras are worth the £9000. My commute is only 5 miles so range is not really important for me.

Yours is "in transit" anyway isn't it? In which case this new order won't get to you any quicker. I am sure they will be on the same ship. If you're thinking of changing the colour/spec then definitely go for it.

I had no problems getting my deposit back when I cancelled my first order and reordered the same colour/spec when it became available through a cancelled order as @SteveUk mentioned. My original order VIN is still "in order processing" while my second order was already built at time of order and is now "in transit"

Funny you should say that - I had my charging point installed today.

As I have solar I went with zappi from myenergi.

The app is really useful as you can see from the screenshot the excess solar that normally goes to the grid for a pittance will go into my car. Even though it's a dull day in Wales still getting some free charge.

PS car has once again gone to transit from awaiting shipping , so I am now going to ignore until i see shipped.

Wonky has a magic tool for getting your vin number from the order page. Otherwise wait months! Do you have a build date? What did you order? Awd ? rwd? Sr? Or er? Colour¿

I tried his magic tool and it worked - at first I had no response info but today I got some, including my VIN. Put it into FordPass app etn/fifteen minutes ago and it's still loading

Can I change the subject as it is too depressing hearing all your cars are actually cars and not a figment of Ford's imagination. So - has anyone looked into the cost of insurance for the magnificent beast? The insurance companies have no history to go on and that would usually ramp up the cost. Anyone found an insurer yet? If so - how much? Cheers y'orll.

best quote ive had is from Aviva for £486 (PAID IN ADVANCE) WITH AN EXTRA 4 DRIVERS. EVERYONE ELSE i SAW WAS WELL OVER £500 - MOST A LOT OVER. Ooops, sorry about the caps
