More good news - the podpoint app has now been updated to allow charge scheduling. You can schedule one from/to time setting per day.
Thats good. I decided to opt for them. For no particular reason.
Paper work sorted, waiting installation date.

I've now seen on the tracker that my car is on the Grande Florida, does anyone know expected delivery date? I can't ask my dealer as they can't even find it on the system at the moment!

The Grimaldi tracker indicates arriving in Antwerp 17/04 although I think Graham has seen it stated 22/04. I have no actual ETA to dealer but have been told early June (I don't know if that factors that mine has an extra bit of water to cross to Belfast or not).

If you believe the letter that my dealer got from Ford, 5 - 10 weeks from arrival in Antwerp. Also as posted earlier each car is undergoing a 50 point QC check. If it passes then it could be sooner, if it needs a lot of fixing it could be later. In other words, nobody really knows.

We'd hope the later built cars would need less corrections!
You would hope. I think anecdotally quality expectations are very high in the EU so they might carry them on to be safe. They really need to avoid the Tesla panel gap and trim reputation issues. Strangely Tesla seem to just say "that's how they are" which for me is crazy.

Perhaps building in Mexico was a bad call for a new model with so much at stake.

The excuse was it was the only way to do it at a profit.

I think they will keep doing them to ensure they are at standard, but I think they will take less time and have less follow up work needed, so the process will be quicker.

As long as they have a better workflow in Antwerp compared to Mexico. Last thing we want is the QC done quickly and then the car sits around for ages.

I've been checking the F12 status on the ford dashboard and I had "Compound in" with a status date 01/04/2021, checking today it is "Compound in" with a status date of 06/04/2021.

I'm hoping this means it's left the compound for the QC and has now come back to get on a ship once logistics are ready. My dealer still says mid may ETA so I'm guessing it should arrive in Southampton by the end of April?

We've seen this on some cars in Norway as well, including my own. First compound in st 23rd of March (confirmed in Antwerp by dealer), then new compound in date of 1st of April for me. Similar for others, few days in between. Fingers crossed that means QC is done and they soon will be otw. :)
