Out of curiosity/hope/desperation, anyone here ordered an AWD and wanting to swap the 19” alloys out for my 18” alloys that come on the RWD? You’ll get more mileage and i won’t even take any money off you ?. (Joking aside if anyone interested would be happy to swap plus pay cash on top). Failing that it’s a new set of alloys from the stealers and I’ll be left with a set I won’t use and prob can’t sell ?
LOL.. the alloys was the main reason I chose the AWD. doubt you'll find any takers

Just contacted my dealer as mine was on the immacolata and had a delivery w/e 22/5/21 - he gave me the following info Vista dated today location had changed from AntQPDI to AntCust which he said meant it had finished the QPDI and was awaiting delivery to customer, So I don't understand why delivery to dealer is now week ending 29/5/21!
I believe it has to go on magical mystery tour to Belgium before taking the trip to southampton after the QC.

If this really gets delayed into June, Ford are really beginning to take the piss. Meanwhile I've got Audi dealership near me asking me to drop 500 quid as holding deposit on the E-tron Sportback which they say will start delivering to customers from September.

Last I looked they had a 25% discount on the 19" wheels but doubt that includes fitting think worked out just over £800 for the 4.

They are supposed to be going to the vehicle holding centre in Flushing from Antwerp and then getting shipped to Dagenham. Then the sold units will be sent to dealers and the cancelled cars will stay there until sold.

Thinking out loud here- how can we find out what specs are the cancelled cars...?

If you go onto Ford.co.uk and go to build and price, Mustang mach e it comes up with a stock tab. Click on that and you will see 31 cars(when I last looked anyway). Only problem is that when you click on details nothing happens. It gives estimated delivery schedule but I assume you have order through normal way in the hope it picks one up.

So, had my second test drive today in a AWD SR this time.

Still loved the drive and the ride.

I managed to ‘find’ a number of speed bumps of various size and sharpness.

I didn’t have a problem with any regarding ground clearance.

I even managed to get it home and check the fit in the garage. It’s tight but it does fit.

Finally, got the news that my delivery has gone back to 5th June. Mine was on the Immacolata.

I’m not too bothered. I would rather take delivery of a car that’s right than it get rushed.

Besides, the sooner it arrives, the sooner I have to pay for it! ??

The dealer did say that it might arrive sooner. ????

Goes home, closes garage door, pretends car had been given back.

I've ordered an AWD ER Mach-E in Infinite Blue.

I took the RWD, SR Mach-E for a test drive on Saturday and although it was a "nice car", it didn't blow me away.

As others have said, the ride was quite bouncy - almost nauseatingly so at times.

Whilst I know it was not an AWD car and so the acceleration was never going to be as fast - it really wasn't especially exhilarating when you mashed your foot down.

I liked one pedal driving - but it didn't work consistently. Twice I had to turn it off and on to get 1PD to engage when it seemed to have just stopped working.

The AWD ER Mach-E was there in the showroom to look at, but it wasn't available to test drive. That might just have made a difference if I had got to drive it - but I simply wasn't blown away by the car I drove and for not far off £60K for the one I ordered, I wanted to be blown away!

As I'm not in a rush to buy anything, I currently drive a Kia and have a Kia dealer 2 miles from my house, I'm going to wait for the EV6.

I have cancelled my Mach-E order so you can take me off the spreadsheet now.

Thanks for all the amazing help and advice you have all given on this forum and I look forward to seeing some Mach-Es on the road soon!

Kind Regards,

Bill

PS. One thing I did get confirmed is that PAAK will NOT be available in the UK - you'll get 2 key fobs instead. The guy who was showing me around the car in the showroom also said that in the UK you wouldn't be able to start the car with a pin code.
First off I totally get that you have a Kia, and if you like the Kia you might wait for the EV6. I'm just a bit confused by some of the other reasons you state.

What am I missing? You mention performance was a big piece of the choice, but EV6 spec on paper is very similar to the Mach E and you don't yet know what the handling is like for the EV6.

I don't think I've seen anyone else have any issues with 1PD, so perhaps an issue with the demo car?

If you've ordered a 58k car (AWD ER) yet test drove a 41k car (RWD SR), then the specs are significantly different including a lot more power, handling difference from AWD, technology pack, different wheels etc.

Out of curiosity did you check the tyre pressures, which I think you can do on the dashboard? The Mach E seems to come with tyre pressures too high on new suspension and setting them correctly allegedly has an impact on the handling.

Sorry, not wanting to make you question your decision, but I'm trying to understand the reasons given I have my test drive in a couple of weeks and my order is for a RWD ER. I have no affinity for the Kia though and the Mach E, even in RWD ER guise, will be the most powerful car I've ever owned.
