After two test drives I was super excited!

Having read recent thoughts on here, from some who have waited a lot longer than me, I’m feeling low about the whole thing now!

I have to admit the car is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. However, that is my only negative.

I really wasn’t in the market for a new car just yet I just wanted it when I saw it.

I’m seriously worried about after sales service if there are problems and am considering my position.

I do feel sad posting this as I do think our cars would be first class by the time they arrive.
by its nature we do see distilled views on here. Almost all will be forgotten once they are delivered.

I’ve been through this with VW and Hyundai and they were not much better. Early adopters have to tolerate year long purchasing processes. For example I very much doubt all EV6 customers will get theirs in October. More like summer 2022.

we are very close at least. Frustrating as hell but close.

I was surprised when I tried it in the garage.

Similar height and width to a RR Evoque and longer.
I’m surprised you guys are surprised about size but then I saw the prototype in Oxford year ago in March. A long Evoke is about right. Bonnet is quite long but looks good.

I have wondered what after sales will be like and especially after the warranty period. The battery has an 8 year warranty but what about the motor(s)? Will they be reliable?
Motors and running gear will be fine. Made by a very highly regarded German motor specialist. They will be good for 500k miles plus. Assembly quality might be a concern but USA units aren’t too bad.

software quality I am more concerned about. That is new to Ford.

I'm devouring information as much as possible- and I thank all of you for the honest information , including our US mates who have had time to live with their cars.

I haven't got a Mach on order-and won't until l have a road test three weeks from today.

Earlier this evening I checked out the Polestar 2 online (I actually followed one driving through Bodmin yesterday for a couple of miles) Nice looking car. But good grief- everything is an extra. By the time you include all the tech that the mach e comes with as standard, you are at the same or higher price. For a car that is made in China (I think?), no doubt with suspect spares and service knowledge. Didn't feel confident at all about going any further...

My other concern, and this applies to Tesla 3's, is that we need a hatchback so we can put a dog cage in the back for our Spaniel, He's not good out of a cage! Those of you who've seen and driven the Mach, do you see any problem with that?

I really feel for you guys who have been struggling on with this for nearly 2 years. My only comment would be if you've waited this long then wait a bit longer as good things come to those that wait- at least that's what my Mum used to say  ?

Buying a MME is a little like having Children... it's fun at first, the wait is anxious and when it's getting close it's scary... I think we're at the contractions stage. ;-)

Whenever I've looked at an 'alternative' to the Mach E, whether it is cheaper to start with or comparable in price, I've found it sadly lacking. The Mach E is a 'fully-loaded' car with a massive spec.

In order to 'future proof' a purchase you need as much technology as possible. By the time you bring other competitors to the same level where you are comparing 'like for like' I've not found one to be anywhere near.

Yes, Ford's technology does, are present, leave a lot to be desired. However, this is not always going to be the case and I do feel that, out of all the manufacturer's out there, Ford are best placed to give us OTA updates and keep our cars up to date.

I still can't get the info that you are saying is available when I go into my ford account. Not sure whether it is because I preordered last Feb and got an order number because that is all that shows up. My VIN doesn't appear at all. When I go to network/XHR I just get the info that is on my order screen. I have tried Edge and Chrome but I get the same on both.

I have managed to do it via Chrome.

What I do is open a new window then hit F12 to bring up the extra info.

Next go to the Ford site and login to my account then scroll down and select Manage Orders then from that screen I can see the info
