Good luck with the preferred charge times… I’m pulling my hair out with it. Starts charging when it’s supposed to, but doesn’t seem to stop charging when it should! Hopefully you’ll have better luck.
I seem to have got this working. It will charge out of the hours you set if the amount of charge you request is larger than what it can achieve in the number of hours you set. Hope that makes sense.

Hi all

still in Skye starting home tomorrow.
Has been windy here today and there was a lot of wind noise. I know there was a lot of fuss initially with wind noise. I haven’t got a mme to compare with but my roof is about 3mm higher than windscreen see terrible picture. Is that normal?

So, after a wait of nearly 18 months, I stride into the garage full of hope and excitement. There she is. In the middle of the showroom gleaming like a jewel.

I walk round her and the first thing I notice is the dent where someone has pushed the charge port door too far. Then I’m told the load compartment mat hasn’t arrived. Then I’m told that they don’t know how to fit the tracker that is a requirement of our fleet policy (yes, work that one out on an electric car) and that they don’t actually know if a tracker can be fitted.

Off I trudge without my shiny new pony and head home, yet again defeated and deflated by Ford’s utter incompetence. And not actually sure if I’ll ever be able to drive it out of the showroom.

I can’t stop shaking my head... beer anyone?

Yes, mine is very similar (and also a Rapid Red ER RWD) ?

I picked mine up yesterday and noted there is wind noise but doesn't seem out of the "ordinary" ..... it seemed to come more from the driver's wing mirror, but will check things out more over the weekend!

It is guesswork to a certain extent, if there is another tappsdate change before the TOSSA leaves Flushing then it's very likely I/we are in Flushing as the car is started to drive off the boat. A dealer check on Vista on Monday/Tuesday will confirm.

Just picked my pony up, she looks amazing, very happy with her. Lots of attention ? so pleased I went with the black

Finally after being at the dealers for 4 weeks. This afternoon I signed the paperwork. Should pick up early next week. Hoping. Its been a long journey. Not as long who still are waiting.

I emailed Gridserve earlier today to ask if they had an up to date list of the Ecotricity chargers that they have already upgraded. I received the reply below.

We do have a map in development and being released very soon but until then, Zap-Map is the best resource to find our updated charge points. If you search for contactless payment, only the refitted ones will come up for you.

I went to Zap Map and set the filter to Gridserve Ecotricity and contactless payment and they have, according to ZapMap, upgraded quite a few so far. So hopefully charging on the motorway should be easier and more reliable. We will see.

Same for me, signed and paid today! Was meant to get to see the vehicle but it was still at the compound getting the ecall done!

Lol this was in Dagenham today supposedly. Home my car wasn’t in there.
Yeah, i was thinking the same thing! By the looks of things, the worst of it was the other side of Dagenham to where the dealer and compound is.

I made it there this afternoon, and signed the documents and made final payment. Just before I arrived they rang me to say I couldn’t see the car because it was taking longer than planned to do the software update at the compound (I could have warned them about that in advance…). Should still be picking up early next week, if it hasn’t been washed away. Mine’s the first car they’re doing it on, so hopefully they will be better practiced when they do yours!

Hi all,

A quick note on headlights in the MME - specifically the automatic high beam control.

In my experience (albeit limited to just two days ?) the headlights are absolutely brilliant ?

  • The lights are very powerful and give a very bright clear beam (I have the RWD ER)
  • The Automatic High Beam Control works really well, and dips the beam almost the instant it senses the lights from an on-coming vehicle
  • PLEASE NOTE that in my car the setting was looking at traffic approaching on the left-hand side e.g. as in Europe, so you need to change it to look for traffic on the righ-hand side!
  • This system also minimises glare for other drivers with the Glarefree Lighting setting
  • The other excellent setting (especially for country roads) is the Adaptive Front Lighting which provides in effect a wider beam through additional lighting to both sides of the main beam
  • See pages 91 - 96 of the owners manual if the above sounds of interest

You probably already know all this, but I was very impressed, so thought I would mention it ?
