More power to you that you didn't respond to some of those other comments eg 'if you don't like what has/is happening then bail'

Personally I think they are trying a new system and it has some issues. Each country has different sales issues (financing or whatever). You are buying a car that is brand new with a system that is new for Ford. You have to accept it won’t be 100%. If you were purchasing after a few months when they gave sorted these issues then it would all be straight forward.
I think being on this forum has heightened the whole emotional aspect of this purchase. Every element of the car has been analysed. I have never known this much about a car I was about to buy before (unless I already owned one).

"You have to accept it won’t be 100%."

If you see this forum etc you might now know this. Otherwise it must be a bit confusing/bewildering for the customers that don't know.

It's 2020 and the world is in the middle of a pandemic!

EVERY other new EV out there is having its delivery date bumped back.

I was also looking at the Skoda Enyaq - another new electric crossover SUV - and their waiting list has gone from "early 2021" to August 2021 - and I'm not at all surprised!!

I don't think anyone is in disagreement with you Bill re delivery dates being delayed so I'm not sure what your point is.

Nice looking car. I didn't know that was out there.

That car, the spec you get and price point convinces me that with all the issues, the mach-e is a much better option.

I wouldn't rush to cancel your order if anyone is still wanting an EV without checking out the alternatives first. They aren't up to the same level in my opinion.

Agree wholeheartedly ? IMHO there aren't
any suitable alternatives at the moment. MME ticks all my boxes which why I am playing the waiting game

It's interesting when you add optional extras to that skoda how it begins to look expensive! Plus why drive a skoda when you can drive a mustang.

I'm happy to play the waiting game if Ford are honest with us, don't say 20 to 23 weeks is only for orders placed now if that isn't the truth. We only enquired so we can work out what we are doing with our other cars, but passing us from pillar to post and not being transparent isnt helpful.

Hi guys
Just had an email from the concierge rebbeca which has told me the website is having problems telling the difference between new orders and preorders that’s why there is a difference between our delivery dates, she is expecting preorders to start arriving in the uk mid March 2021

This is worrying as on Friday she told my husband she doesn't have access to the system...

Anyone know if the refundable deposit is refundable after converting order?
Not sure I want to fully commit without seeing it in person.

I'm uncertain as i'm not sure distance selling applies as they could argue it is 'make to order' and a specific spec eg colour

I agree they do their level best not to make this clear but the FAQ’s do suggest is it and specifically make a distinction between order and reservation. I think!

There is just no satisfying some people. I emailed Rebecca yesterday to pass onto her the concerns that some on here were having re estimated delivery dates etc. Ford have numerous systems and not all staff have access to all of them. I know from previous contact with her that she doesn't have access to the ordering system (vista). This is why she said to contact your dealer to get a build date and estimated delivery to dealer date. I assume that she made contact with the IT team and they told her about the issues. My car has been built (3rd Dec) with an eta to dealer w/e 13/3/21 yet when I confirmed my order it said 14 - 16 weeks. Ford are like any other large company/government. They have numerous systems which aren't always able to talk to each other. You wouldn't have got it as you didn't order until later but those of us that have been in for the long haul got an email in June to say that our preorders had been entered onto the ordering system. When I asked what this meant I was told that there was some poor chap at Ford that had to print a list of the preorders and manually input them onto the ordering system as the 2 weren't compatible. If you ask a question about one thing it doesn't automatically mean that the answer to a second comes from the same source.
