yes it activated a couple of weeks ago but does not always update location.Have you managed to activate your car?
It's weird, mine seems to be being done differently. Yesterday they sent the invoice to Ford Credit, and apparently they have now paid it (to the dealer presumably) so they seem to think I'm going with the finance quote set up online when I ordered the car. I need to phone Ford Credit tomorrow to see what they say, maybe they just re-approve it, then I sign it online and it goes through like that.Hi @Smuddell
I agree with @portlandg - my dealer (really helpful, in Brighton) just sorted it all out in about 20 minutes a couple of days before I picked the car up ?
In the meantime, keep an eye on your catalytic converter ...... it's the last one you will ever have ?
Cheers
David
Mine started moving too... same dayMine has finally got to UK. I strated getting regular updates from hanna and car started moving after my social media crusade...funny that.
Yeah - it’s just come through on mine too. This is why I love Ford and the FordPass app. Car goes in for it's ecall software update with my dealer on Monday. On Tuesday I get notification that an OTA update has successfully been carried out which update the ecall system. Today I get a notification from Ford via my app saying that there is a FSA recall for my car relating to the ecall system and to book my car in with my dealer. Really![]()
My experience is similar, 3.7mile/kWh, 2,100 miles in 21 days with half a tonne of tools in the back and air con on. 3 out of 3 bad charging experiences, two with gridserve’s electric highway robbery, charged £20 for a £4.90 top-up charge on Toddington and all units OOC on Leic Forest East Northbound & Southbound until BP pulse at Miller & Carter saved day, used Ionity at Cambridge Svcs A14 soaked to skin in torrential rain after first charger wouldn’t work, FordPass card is slicker ‘an a rattlesnake’s belly though! Super car working well so not in Autotrader………yet, not sure if it is getting enough miles in there after full charge, never shows more than c320 miles, everybody drools over it and saw first other one on road queuing for Dartford tunnel Friday evening. So I've now had my car 8 days and have clocked up 650 miles.
This is only due to yesterday we drove to Weston-super-mare and back to Essex today.
Charged to 93% on Wednesday. Drove 194 miles yesterday and on arrival at Weston was still showing 120 miles left. This morning charged it back to 83% on a 50v DC charger which was in a Miller and Carter restaurant car park. Couldn't find any 150v on zapmap app. Left Weston with range of 240 miles. Got back to Essex with 70 miles still showing available.
All in all drove 420 miles which was mainly M25, M4, and M5. It averaged 3.7 mls/kw for the whole journey, which I was happy with, being the aircon was on all the time, radio blaring, phone charging and was definitely doing 70ish. Definitely be aware, this car will hit you with points if your not careful. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but did seem to experience the bounce which people have mentioned before, although I didn't on my test drive. Not sure if it's the roads or setting I had it set to. Started off on active but put it on whisper which seemed better.
One other thing. The M25 was back to normal today. Stop start all the way. Yes back to being a car park. Did feel a bit chuffed with the amount of people who where turning to have a look while we were crawling along at 1 mph. Never owned a car that people oggle at so much.
Enjoy it people.
If you see my posts if my road trip last weekend you will see that I mentioned that Gridserve apply a card approval fee. At the time I wasn't t sure whether it was £10 or £20 as my charge cost was £10. They won't "take" the £20 from your account and it will come off your pending transactions in a few days. It it not a rip off as most will do it. If you use Ionity as a guest and not a member they will charge you £67 I have been told.My experience is similar, 3.7mile/kWh, 2,100 miles in 21 days with half a tonne of tools in the back and air con on. Yes, just checked account again, £20 became £4.90. Smoke & mirrors, never had this buying petrol & diesel in 45 years, often paid upto 15% more for fill-up at Mway services so still rip off charging around 20 times in case of Ionity to a “guest” than a retail customer buys electricity, I always bought petrol & diesel as a “guest” and never experienced that or got soaked through on forecourt when it rained whilst filling up. “They” are supposed to be encouraging us to go electric which we’ll have to do eventually but not doing a great job. FordPass card does make it easier & cheaper TBF and a slightly less painful experience. On balance still just good enough an experience given the car’s so great, so not on Autotrader just yet.Yeah that £20 is just a "reserved" amount they put on your credit card usually showing as "pending".
Don't panic, it disappears and then the actual £4.90 charge for what you used will then appear on your credit card account.
Take a photo of the final screen showing on the charger what you have spent so in future if your credit card statement isn't correct you have proof.
Where in Essex are you? I've been driving around West Essex and after 400 miles, am yet to see another Mach E...So I've now had my car 8 days and have clocked up 650 miles.

I did 780 miles last weekend starting in Dorset to Braintree then on to Norfolk on Thursday. Spent Friday and Saturday in Norfolk. Sunday we went to Milton Keynes and then back to Dorset. In all that time we only saw 1 other MME and that was @Wonky_Donkey who we had prearranged a meet. I'm expecting to see many more next time we go on a round trip.Where in Essex are you?
