Just wondering what everyone else’s experience was, my car had just got to Antwerp, I was expecting the time difference to change from 5 hours to 2 between vehicle time and taps time, but it’s still 5 hrs, at what point should it change?

From my personal experience...having an activated FordPass...I found the following:

vehicleDateTime only really changes when someone actually starts the car.
tappsDateTime changes any time you request anything from the vehicle. e.g. every time I refresh the FordPass app, this changes to the exact time I did that.
updateDate is a strange one. Sometimes this matches a FordPass request, sometimes it doesnt. So not really sure.

I notice a lot of people say that tappsDateTime changes when someone starts the vehicle, but that's not been my experience.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all,

Re: Failed OTA Updates

I spoke with the MME Support Team about this and they were helpful but couldn't find any information on this, so they have escalated it to the Technical Team.

Has anyone with Failed Update(s) had any success since?

I'll let you know once I hear any further news

Hi, Guys

I have just taken receipt of my car and I am absolutely amazed. I love it!

Now I don't want to bring up the old issue about the keys argument again but the key is disgraceful. Has anyone found a place where you can get the proper key? Does anyone know the costs?

Any help is appreciated.

No success for me, the failure note hangs around on the app for a few days, then disappears, so hard to keep track. When checking in the car, it's always said that it's up to date.

Our dealer offered to order some mustang keys but it was something like £300 (maybe more I can’t remember) worth asking them but obviously depends how much it bothers you

They’re available aftermarket in the US from a couple of places for less than $100 but they don’t appear have the sleep sensor in them that’s required in the UK - if you order beware of invalidating your insurance in event of theft or break in….

as mentioned by @ProximusAl, the tapps date and time updates when the car receives an activation request as well - it changes each time I try and get someone to accept the activation!

Cheers.

It looks really shit. As in really, really shit. I had a better key Ford key with my 2016 Mustang. At least it had a silver stipe running around it to give it a bit of jazz

Yeah I haven’t got mine yet but seen some photos of the keys. Not what you’d expect from a 40-60k car. I know it’s a small thing but it’s the part of the car that comes everywhere with you and into your home etc. Just shows laziness on fords part really. If they’re trying to go up against bigger (more premium) brands then they have to get the small details right.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all

Just a quick question now that summer is here ??

I used to check tyre pressures on my cars every couple of weeks, but with the MME it's always there on screen!

Having set them at the correct pressures (35 and 41 PSI) a few weeks ago all has been fine.

But over the last couple of days by 10:00 they are often closer to 37 and 43.

Should I adjust (deflate) them so they are at 35/41 at the start of the day (say 10:00!) ..... or am I being over zealous ??

Cheers

No - they should only be adjusted when the tyres are cold and ambient temperature is around 18C. The onscreen reading will go up (or down!) based upon the temperature of the tyre (and ambient air temp / pressure). My Cayenne can go up by 5-6 psi when I’m driving into the southern states (and down by the same when it’s cold and snowy in the north!).

With Ford pass activation is it normal that I keep getting an error due to a technical fault? I don’t have the car yet, it’s in Antwerp.
