I'm not sure that the concierge email address is being monitored right now. I believe that the E-Sales team are looking after stuff at the moment. They can be contacted on [email protected]

At the very least when you send them an email it automatically raises a support ticket and you'll get an auto reply.
this is a different email than what Hannah provided so I’ve sent an email, thanks! Fingers crossed

Yeah I've used that to report the door button fault months ago and they were very helpful. I did e-mail either that one or the one on the recall e-mail and also got no reply.

Thanks Wonky_Donkey - i've actually reached out to them previously but they keep trying to fob me off to the dealer, who, incidentally seems to know less than me at this point... i guess it's just a waiting game.

Mine, at least, has been built and can see it's currently enjoying the sunshine of Mexico, with a couple vessels due into Veracruz next month (Grande Texas on the 12th Feb and Grande Torino on the 24th), but no idea which one, if any, mine will be loaded on at this stage.

I'm hopeful seeing as it's been built it'll get on the one due into port on the 12th, but who knows?

Most of you guys have already been through all this i know, so it's good to be in the company of people who can empathise with our pain :)

Sorry to hear you're not getting any meaningful info. I can doubly empathise with your situation. My first Mach-E was built in Dec 2020 and sat around in Mexico for 3 months before finally being loaded on a boat. I finally got my hands on it in late May 2021.

I'm now going through it all again and I'm waiting on my 2022 edition which is in the pre-build process at the assembly plant. It's estimated as June 2022 delivery on the dealership system at the moment - but I'm not holding my breath LOL

If you can build a relationship with your dealer they can see on their sales system (VISTA) what the current stage is, but this will only really help once you get offloaded at Antwerp when you'll get lots of COMPOUND IN and COMPOUND OUT status descriptions with a location attached.

Stay strong - the waiting is the worst part :)

I would ask why you're putting yourself through it all again, but i think the car speaks for itself in that regard! haha.

Thanks for the info, i'll be sure to keep building a relationship with the dealer and try to refrain from coming across impatient moving forward! ;)

Fingers crossed everything goes a bit smoother for you with the 2022 edition! I actually had my dealer suggest perhaps waiting and re-ordering a 2022 and see which arrives first. Naturally it didn't fill me with much confidence, but i got his point.

Either way, the waiting is indeed the hardest thing but from what i've read from you guys lucky enough to have yours already, it's going to be worth the wait!

Thanks again for your help!

Sorry all, Not wanting to Spam but as my last message was the last one on the last page, I don't know if it will be missed, so I am reposting...

I have been informed my car is now at the dealer. Excited!

They have said there are delays in getting Tow Bars, and have no idea when they will receive them or have the ability to fit it. They said they will put me in touch with a 3rd party supplier. Not sure I am happy with this. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Hi Ads

Congrats on your car finally making it to the Dealership!

Tow bars as well as pretty much all the parts for the Mach-E seem to be a bit scarce, and have been since day one. Might be worth asking your dealer if they are just going by stock indicators (showing as on back-order), and thinking the bits aren't available.

In some cases we've seen that while the parts show as on back order on the dealer system, if they actually place an order in they turn up quite quickly. This is because Ford Germany seem to be holding a lot of the Mach-E bits, and ship them to the UK as and when requested rather than letting Ford UK hold them.

Might be worth putting in an order with Ford anyway if you're not 100% happy with using 3rd party parts.

I would also be interested in seeing the original spec sheet you're referring to. Thanks
I think the "original spec sheet" was essentially the Ford UK website.

To be fair to Dave I also remember those original features being touted by Ford staff at various early launch events and presentations.

I do have the first Dealership guide from August 2020, and that does mention the "Stolen Vehicle Alert + Tracking and Immobilisation" from Dave's list. Sadly the others had already been removed from the lineup by that point.

I've been taking part in some market research to do with the Mach-E recently, and I did raise the issue of the over promised and under delivered features. This will be fed back to Ford, but what they choose to do about it (if anything) is yet to be seen.

Unfortunately Ford's ultimate get out clause was: "Ford's policy is one of continuous product development. The right is reserved to change specifications and colours of the models and items illustrated and described in this publication at any time."

...which is fine - but they should have communicated the changes to pre-order customers. Again not wanting to defend Ford but if I'm playing devils advocate we didn't officially order a vehicle until December 2020 when the order conversion process began and the specifications where better known.

Thanks. I think I'll say I'll take the car and take it in once the towbar is in stock. I'm not going to remove from my original order. They also said they don't know when they will have availability to fit. All together disappointed so far. Still can't wait for the car! I will call the dealer tomorrow rather than respond to his email.

Which original spec sheets are you looking at Dave? Have you a copy you can attach here?
Hi Steve,

The spec sheet shows the ‘Security’ features.

The attached photos show the section in the owners manual referring to PAAK and the key we should have had.
The ambient lighting was, up until August 2021, on the ‘Build My Car’ section of the website.

I have the following from Ford relating to that:

Ford have advised that we recognise there is ambiguity over the Ambient Lighting in the way it is presented in the configurator on our website currently? As a result, we’re adding a disclaimer to the website to make this clear that the Ambient Lighting is not available on RWD models while we update the 360-degree view. We’re sorry for the disappointment this has causes.

So, as you can see, all the features were / still are promised and not delivered.

@Wonky_Donkey is correct with his views as well. ??

I think the lack of a tracker is why so many insurance companies won’t touch the Mach E?

They couldn't get PAAK past the UK insurance companies or that's another one of their lies.

Hmmm …. that reason given from Ford has always been a bit shady to me - somehow Tesla, BMW, & Volvo all manage to include it on their UK vehicles.

Maybe one day the truth will out and we will discover the real reason it got dropped. (ie it was down to cost or a technical oversight)
