Wait... so you still need to tax a MME? even though the tax is zero rated?

Presumably, you need to register yourself as the keeper and the rest is self explanatory?
It's the same principle as a vintage car. Although tax is zero you still need to "tax" it. Just so they can double check it has a MOT (when required). Make the most of it though. I can't see it being zero for much longer. I am fully expecting to have to pay for the next one, unfortunately.

I'm on the edge of Dartmoor, so give it a month or so and that could be me, i'd be more kind though and give you a customary 'flash' back however ? - we're all a bit wary of the Grockles down 'ere i'm afraid!
There's a phrase I haven't heard for a number of years. "Grockle". That will be my next trip later in the year, so I will keep an eye open for you.

Thanks, that makes sense, and yeah, i heard something on the grapevine regarding EV's potentially being taxable, kind of goes against the government idea of emissions however so i guess they're going to have to re-write the play-book, not that that's something new!

Not sure how they can further incentivise people moving from fossil fuel vehicles to EV's however, especially seeing as the tax incentives are also being eradicated soon as well... I imagine it'll be a nominal fee either way?

Sounds like a plan! if a Space White MME flashes back, it's likely to be me, not many of them around down here, although my neighbour annoyingly went to the local dealer last year and seemed to get it off the forecourt within a week! We are no longer on speaking terms ?

However, the number of EVs on the road is impressive. Saving on fuel is a big current incentive. They don't get any money from the VAT on petrol from them so I think they really need to claw back any money they can. I agree that the road tax will go up soon.

My ExR AWD has been delivered to me this morning.

Feel like I now actually belong on the forum! It’s been a really useful source so far - even this morning finding how to change the speedometer from KM/H to MPH. Suspect I will have some stupid questions coming up though…..

Welcome, I took delivery on 01/03, you’ll love the car.

I read all the pages on this thread which answered all my questions.

Still looking to see if the ambient light in the overhead panel should change to match the other ambient lights when the colour is changed.

Congrats on the new car!

Mine is looking likely to arrive at my dealer in the next month so, not jealous of you at all ?

Looks like my mme didn't catch the boat from Mexico this week. Think next one is 30th April, so can probably guess to a late June early July delivery.

Keeping my ? today. Just delivered my car to my dealer to have the windscreen replaced. Taken a video inside and out (just in case). Hopefully 1 down 2 (next week for those) to go then we will be good to go.

Sorry to hear that mate - although the tracking can sometimes be a little delayed so don't lose hope just yet!

Got there in the end. Enjoy? Mine is nearly 1 year old and I still feel like a kid with a new toy. Still finding new things too.
