Thanks for that, just got my car back from the dealer ?. How do I find out what my vehicle’s build date is. I bought it used.
If you drop me a private message with your VIN number I can look it up on FDRS for you :)

Another way is to use the WhereIsMyMME.com website. If you type your VIN into that it will show a whole load of data about the build and delivery of the car providing it wasn’t too long ago.

Anyone got a clunky rear end?

SSM 50738 - Mustang Mach-E. Clunk/knock noise from the rear, accelerating or braking.

Some Mustang Mach-E built prior to 5 October 2021, may exhibit a clunk/knock noise from the rear of the vehicle when accelerating or braking in forward or reverse. Noise may be related to one of
the suspension rear upper trailing arm bushings (left or right wheel). Bushing blade could get contact with inner core during high load exerted. Please hoist the vehicle and move the suspension
arm to confirm this is the noise source. If confirmed, replace the rear upper trailing arm(part numbers LJ9C-5B926-AB right side, or LJ9C-5B927-AB left side), as per WSMsection 204-02.

New UK Recall issued… sorry I mean “Customer Service Program” ;)

Was your Mach-E built between 24/02/2020 and 19/03/2021 ?

If so - congratulations - you got another recall coming your way!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but a fault has been identified in Mach-E’s made between the above dates where the regenerative braking system may cause an issue when used on a long downhill stretch.

For those of you that have been around these parts a while you’ll probably remember some of the early customer cars in Norway having an issue when driving down the Eagle Road to Geiranger (link) While an OTA fix was promised at the time - looks like there are some additional mechanical bits that need tweaking as well.

Full details in the Dealer Memo / Service Bulletin / Customer letter attached below…

(also pay special note to the four “White glove” instructions given to the dealers in the Service instructions!)
Thanks for checking out my Build Date Wonkey_Donkey. Looks like I’m impacted along with the rear suspension issue you posted later. Slight mistake on Ford’s part - the expiry date on all these notices is before the date of publication of the notice ?. At this rate of updates and repairs I’ll have a new car in a few months time. ?

My car like many others is stuck in between 1.6.1 and 1.7.1- since last November!

It tried updating again about a month ago- but no joy. I'm currently in conversation with my service manager who spent a whole day researching this. He's getting hold of Ford technical for guidance then I'll get a call to take it in- allegedly!

Another thing I'm having a problem with is the Mach-E 'widget' Any phone guru's on here who can help me out?

My phone is an android, Huawei P30Pro. I've downloaded the widget and got it on the screen with no problem. But when I try to log-in it just says

Your Vin is not rcognised, the app may not work correctly.

BUT just before I get this message 'log in successful' flashes up! wtf is going on?

But my log -in details are correct - I've just checked on my ford account. Do I need to do something different as I'm a UK owner?

I had issues too. The guy that designed the widget in the US does say that it is designed for use in US and may not work in other markets. So I deleted it

A while ago I had the car in for a recall and received the software update. It showed as Power Up 2.3.0 on the screen.

Brakes felt less sharp and the GOM range increased a bit.

The car then went in for the windscreen replacement.

The other day I noticed the brakes were very touchy again and the range seemed poor.

I looked at the software screen and it now shows Power Up as 2.1.0.

Is this even possible and has anyone else had anything similar?

TIA

It works OK for me. However I seem to remember similar login issue. I think I logged out and back in and it's been fine since.

Can I ask where you see it in the App?
Are your brakes the same? Mine were very touchy (emergency stop when you just touched them) then went a lot better. Now they are back to emergency stop. ?
