I’ve been reliably informed by people in Ford today that from this week there are no new UK orders being taken unless they are being drawn from already built stock. Once that stock has been exhausted there will not be any more available this year (this applies to all Mach-E models and from what I can see there’s just 2022 AWD Space White and 2021 AWD Absolute Black models remaining)

This mirrors the situation for US customers where some models became unavailable for ordering back in Feb.

UK Orders will probably re-start in October 2022 for the 2023 models that will begin batch production in late Dec 2022 / Jan 2023 (delivering from April / May 2023)

So if you’ve got a recent confirmed retail order (not fleet) - hang in there for a delivery around mid Summer / Autumn time. I don’t know what the fleet/lease stock situation is like but I can hazard a guess there won’t be many of those available either.

And just in case you were wondering what happens if you try to order online…. You can still configure & build a new Mach-E using the website, but when it gets to the end it will only generate a sales lead form to send to you desired dealer, and not a full web order for checkout. :(
Wow, and here was me thinking they'd started to play catch up (finally)...

I'd noticed that earlier in the week about ordering. Trying to get my fleet (Lex Autolease) to confirm that my March order is still good and in the system for October-ish delivery.

For those of you with GTs on order - the stock availability this morning show a Cyber orange one with Pano roof available in 2 weeks if that would fit the bill!

Have just gone onto the website and a statement bears this out. It does, however, suggest you go and look at available stock. When you do, Mustang Mach E stock is 0. So unless a canceled vehicle comes up it looks as if you will have a bit of a wait.

It’s finally arrived! ?

…and it has a hands free boot, power fold mirrors, and a Varicharger cable ? (All the stuff I was worried might be missing due to chip shortages)

Think star white looks better in the flesh. In videos, the close up of the paint looks like it has been varnished with fine glitter.

Probably a Job 1. Only ER got pano. I have SR AWD and no pano
That's a "bargain" given the price rises of late! Interesting that it's an AWD but not with a pano roof?
It’s new but I believe it’s without the Tech Pack. I understand it’s pretty much sold now though.

I'm not sure if this is a new record - but certainly good news for my forthcoming trip to Devon ................ 386 mile range ?

I collected my car this afternoon following the roof reseal, windscreen replacement and software updates.

The first good news was that all the above works were done very efficiently and things look really good so far (subject to detailed check and driving ?) - so many thanks to Dinnages of Brighton for making this such a good experience ?

The next good news was that having fully charged this evening it's showing 386 miles - amazing ?

Obviously, we won't actually get this but it's a good sign for our forthcoming jaunt down to Devon ?
Hi David, what did Dinnages give you as a courtesy car? I'm considering them as a possibility for my windscreen recall...

Got notice on my SYNC screen yesterday that Power Up 1.7.1 had installed successfully. Unfortunately it doesn’t appear to have. I don’t have the Notes app, Calm screen, or Apple CarPlay navigation directions in the instrument cluster. Also SYNC version is shown as - - which I believe means I have a stuck 1.7.1 update that may block future OTA updates. Anyone else had this and had it resolved either OTA or via a dealer? Fortunately I’ve got a dealer visit booked in tomorrow to update all the modules in FDRS. I’m sent them Ford’s Technical Service Bulletin TSB 22-2150 which I believe is required to resolve the problem. Anyone else had any experience of fixing this issue or can offer advice? Thanks.
Hooray!!! After 2 solid days of running module updates and applying the TSB 22-2150 fix my dealer went above and beyond and has managed to update my car completely. I’m now on the equivalent of Power Up 2.3.0 and able to receive any future OTA updates. If you have issues with OTA updates speak to your dealer as Ford confirmed to me today that “dealers received further communication earlier this week explaining how dealerships can resolve concerns with OTA updates. Should the Ford technician require further assistance he or she will need to contact the technical team for further assistance. Should you require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact the team on 0203 564 4444 option 6 or by email to[email protected]”. Good luck.

New UK Recall issued… sorry I mean “Customer Service Program” ;)

Was your Mach-E built between 24/02/2020 and 19/03/2021 ?

If so - congratulations - you got another recall coming your way!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - but a fault has been identified in Mach-E’s made between the above dates where the regenerative braking system may cause an issue when used on a long downhill stretch.

For those of you that have been around these parts a while you’ll probably remember some of the early customer cars in Norway having an issue when driving down the Eagle Road to Geiranger (link) While an OTA fix was promised at the time - looks like there are some additional mechanical bits that need tweaking as well.

Full details in the Dealer Memo / Service Bulletin / Customer letter attached below…

(also pay special note to the four “White glove” instructions given to the dealers in the Service instructions!)

I know some of you have recently been reporting this issue. This SSM has been issued to dealers…

SSM 50751 - Mustang Mach-E. Deep Sleep Mode, with 12V battery OK.

For vehicles built between 07 July and 23 December 2021.

If a Customer complaints about repeated messages in the Ford Pass Application referring Vehicle "Deep Sleep Mode", so its commands cannot be executed remotely (e.g. doors lock/unlock); and the 12 volts battery is in good condition (voltage above 11,5 volts): This is a known Telematics Control Unit CU software issue.

An Over The Air OTA update will be released in the following weeks. Please confirm with the Customer that vehicle's OTA updates are enabled: SYNC settings menu > Connectivity > Enable Vehicle Connectivity. And SYNC settings menu > System updates > Enable Automatic updates.
