Hi All, ordered my car a week or so ago expecting 23 week lead time. Pretty confused as after getting VIN it seems I may have got a cancellation and could end up with car much earlier than expected. The Ford.co.uk site however diesnt reflect this, it only states ordered. I guess we will see what happens.

What model/colour did you order.
Did you pre-order? That’s has a pre-order date of 6th March 2020

We were suppose to get an email from Ford to say when our cars were going into production but apparently there was a error on their system so the didn't send them. This is why I think that the order button is green but the in production button is still blue. My car was built 9th Dec but mine is still blue. This is a just another example of the readiness of their system.

No it must have been a cancellation, I ordered on Ford website last week. Its a Black AWD SR

I'll tell you what. If we have to wait that long there wont be anyone buying this car any time soon. I just don't understand why anyone at Ford thinks that it is good customer relation practice to treat us like mushrooms (kept in the dark and feed s..t). If they were upfront and told us why these cars are so delayed, and they can't put it all on covid, I for one might be prepared to cut them some slack. But no matter who we talk too at Ford their attitude remains the same.

I already have my suspicions regarding the delay from build to the getting on the ship date. I have this nagging thought that there has been a problem with the cars that's more serious than people think. More delays will lead my gut instincts to see huge red flags.

First start off with adding WF0TR1 at the beginning - I'm just calculating the rest for you.

Got my VIN , plugged it into the tracker but it couldn't find it although Ford website says it's in production - has been for over a week at least

My First Edition still shows as "In Order Processing". I'm old enough to remember the good old days when Fords were made down the road in Dagenham! My dad didn't have this problem when he ordered his Ford Consul.

Try double tap on the button on the tracker screen or change from chrome to that s*=#% browser ms supply as standard.

I wrote to Rebecca after I found out that my FE wasn't in the batch currently in production. Got a reply pretty quickly. Original email and reply attached.

Why would you say that? Do you want to hear that when you're seeking assistance? Surely the worst thing to admit in this situation is that you have no control of the situation?

Thats the line they have stuck too all along. That the UK have zero influence over the production schedule. I didn't expect anything else.

I'm resigned to receiving it when it arrives. I just think we've been feed a pack of lies all the way through the process.

TESTERS REQUIRED

As part of the package of tools I've been creating to help you all - I have just finished putting together an easy to use spreadsheet that will allow you to calculate your full Mach-E VIN (including the pesky check digit which is quite frankly insane in how it's calculated!)

All you need is the last 5 digits that the dealer provides you to get the full VIN.

To those of you that have your full VIN - can I ask you to test this to see if it works and produces your VIN correctly?

If it all works ok I'll add it to the Wiki so that someone else can copy and paste the whole thing and repost it without giving any credit ?
