no car scanning was happening on the ships
So how can Ford - and we - be sure that our cars actually came aboard the ships in Veracruz?

There must have been some sort of scanning. Grimaldi had a manifest of cars that were loaded in Vercruz because they
confirmed to me that mine was onboard MSC IMMACOLATA. I assume that this manifest was sent to Ford because Rebecca confirmed that my car was on this ship. This list was also disseminated to dealers whose customers cars were onboard, because my dealer confirmed mine as well.
Now if FordUK can get a manifest of cars onboard then presumably FordNOR, FordNL, FordFR and FordEUR will/can get this as well. Therefore one can conclude that Ford (as a whole) have got little interest in their customers and are only interested in selling their cars. My business is retail, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that if I treated my customers in this way I wouldn't be in business for much longer. IF I do continue with this purchase it will be the last Ford I do buy.

Thank you! And I remember now that my local dealer mentioned that they are informed when some of "their" customer cars are loaded.

Anyone having issues looking at their order page from the Ford site with it just going into a loading loop?

Anyone would think Ford don’t want me to cancel my order.

This is the case for some of us since several weeks already. Are you on a Mac?
It looks like the SSO is not working correctly anymore. Sometimes, you can log in, sometimes, not.
(BTW, did work this morning for me, wasn't the case anytime yesterday)

Yes, I can no longer access my order using my iPhone but can access it using MS Edge on my PC.
Doesn’t seem to be up to date though as still shows as ‘In Production’ but have had an email to say car is on its way.
Just another example of Ford’s joined up communication...?

Mine seems to be working. Still showing price including PICG so perhaps I won't cancel just yet.

I have cancelled my MME order (again).

A number of reasons on this - fluctuating insurance rates etc. aside, I am seeing far too many issues being reported from our US cousins, including: issues with lack of support in the seats, weird charging cycles where you get to 80% charge and you drop to about 11 KWh meaning that it takes about 2.5 hours to charge to 100% on a DC fast charger, issues with spongy steering, issues with spongy or aggressive breaking etc.

A lot of the above will be able to change with software updates etc. but I think if your buying a nearly 60K car, then these issues should have been sorted on the factory floor long before delivery.

At present with working from home, and little to no car travel each week, I really can’t justify the purchase at this time.

Like many here I have reserved the Kia EV6. Having owned 4 Hyundai’s I know that Korean companies have fantastic customer service, and the essential 7 year warranty would sell it for me, especially as it’s all new technology! So that’s peace of mind over the antiquated 3 years that Ford supply... want extra and you pay for it!

Who knows I might have done the most foolish thing by cancelling, or it might be the wisest.

Only time will tell!

In some ways I'm lucky, others not... ordered the Mach e as a Company Car and my company sets quite a low £ limit for cars so only scrapped in with a black SR (that's the unlucky bit as I wanted ER and a nice colour!). Ordered in November and have only been told that it's still due delivery in June, so we'll wait and see but I'm in no hurry. Now the lucky bit, as it's a Company Car, if there's anything wrong with it, it'll be back to the dealers, if I was buying private, I would probably have bailed out by now, the poor customer service, the Quality and build issues, the way Ford have (not)managed the grant issue, etc....

The customer service visible in this thread from Ford has been atrocious and they are missing a trick I think. Most Company cars get renewed every 3 years, I've never had a Ford but love the Mach e so went for it. The tax benefit makes it great for us with a Company Car and I know 3 other people in my Company who have ordered with lots more thinking about it. If Ford doesn't get a grip and put their customers first, all of them, then they will loose this new business stream and that's a £120,000 customer based upon a 10 year period.

I work for a large Company who order a lot of cars, many hundreds a year and it'll be me who would be championing the Ford brand at work as an early adopter but if they don't get a grip , sort themselves out and start treating their customers as customers and not as if they are doing us a massive favour by letting us buy one of their cars, (and you know they read this forum) then I'll do my level best to put everyone off buying a Ford in my Company.

Should of used more full stops, but was mid rant!

This was posted on a US thread earlier. Goes a little way to explain the 5 - 10 weeks delay in Antwerp for "additional QC checks". I think the majority of cars that came in on the 2 ships with customer cars that have arrived so far, Grande Houston and MSC IMMACOLATA, were built within the time frame of this bulletin so there is a lot to update. If ALL the modules listed need to be updated on ALL the cars currently in Antwerp and these modules have to be done one at a time it will take a while. And this is a fix for just 1 issue.
One interesting fact I have discovered is that on my Ford account I can check whether there are any recall notices for my car. Ford say to go to a DVLA web page to check. Obviously it won't be on there as it's not yet registered. The other option is to go to etis.ford.com but once again there are no actions required listed. Does this mean my car is good to go or is it more of Ford's sloppy admin. The latter me thinks.

Mine is the same no recalls. But agree it is no doubt the sloppy admin that has been present throughout. As an example my ford account still shows in production, grant still deducted but Hannah and Ford have told me it was built and Hannah informed me it was on the MSC IMMACOLATA.
The test drive on the 17th and if I get it in writing that my grant is secure are both crucial in my forthcoming decision. The EV6 looks very promising and with Kia having a decent record and almost top 3 reviewed ev on most uk motor sites with the e niro, not forgetting the 7 year warranty I am teetering on the edge and it will not take much for me to fall off and cancel the Mach E.

One issue that I can foresee with the EV6 is that it hasn't yet entered production. There is a worldwide shortage of semiconducters at the moment, some car makers are reducing or temporarily shutting down production because of it. At least some MME's have been built and are close to being delivered. KIA say the first EV6's should be due around October. I hope that they have a good supply of semiconductors or this date could be in jeopardy.
