https://seg.fyi/mache-vin/#/detailsDoes anyone have the tracker link, the one on the forum takes you to the old one which does not work now, thanks in advance![]()
You're always missed Wonky but we're cutting you some slack as I believe you're in a new job!![]()
It was just in response to Graham's link to an Engadget article about the 12v battery issue - felt compelled to reply straight away as articles that put fear or doubt into people for no good reason just annoy me so much! No beef with G for posting, more with Engadget style of articles of inaccurate & lazy journalism. But that's a long rant for another day
Sweet of you to say you kinda missed me LOL - I haven't really left, I've just turned into more of a reviewer of posts rather than a vocal contributor at the moment.
I have been working on some new stuff regarding the massive amounts of customer order data hidden in the dashboard/orders website which have been discussed a bit on here already.
It's part of a wider collaboration with some other EU members on building some tools and documentation to help people get more info on the status of their orders without having to reply on dealership Vista updates. There is so much data and technical documentation to piece together to make sense of it all though (not all of which is in English!). I think by the time I have it figured out the cars will have started to be delivered!
It's my belief we only have about another 3½ weeks left to wait for the first wave of UK deliveries to begin. What I'm seeing with the rapid status changes happening on vehicles online, I think AKTRION are churning through the QA process quite quickly. If I learn anything for definite I will of course break the news here first![]()
yeah this has been covered a lot and some bloke through a massive analysis of battery technology in the mache if I remember rightly. I believe only charge to 100% if you're planning on making a long journey otherwise keep between 20 and 80% to maintain a longer life as often as you can. Although opinions vary.https://www.geotab.com/blog/ev-battery-health/
Above is a link to a piece about ev battery life that was posted by @steverm so my thanks to him. If like me you are new to ev's its quite a good detailed read. Think bottom line is battery life in an EV should if looked after outlast the life of the car. It shows why Ford seem to limit the fast charging to 80% to protect battery life.
You are lucky to be able to see your car and it's details on your Ford pass app. I have managed to input my VIN and it says vehicle found but that is all I can do. Every time I try to do ANYTHING it keeps crashing. I have the latest update. I'm not surprised though. I have had it for the last 4 years for my Kuga and it has NEVER worked properly. Don't hold out much hope when I get my MME of it working properly then.according to the Ford App, this is the parking space my MME is parked in. Do you think it will be there long enough for Google Maps to update?

Interestingly, or perhaps not there is a charger located at the north entrance. Nothing else has changed. The App and the website don't match even though they have updated and the tyre pressures seem to be quite sensitive to temperature changes. Refill with Nitrogen perhaps.
On this image you can see the ramp for loading. I wonder if we can track ships which arrive there?

The loading ramp is
51°16'15.4"N 4°12'44.7"E
51.270930, 4.212410
There are a whole host of studies on this. I do dome work with Universities of strategic materials recycling and they have battery experts. Lithium dendrites form if you push the batteries too hard either with temperature or charge cycles. What you say is safe especially with the hidden part of the battery (actual capacity 98Kw/h vs available 80Kw/h).yeah this has been covered a lot and some bloke through a massive analysis of battery technology in the mache if I remember rightly. There seems to be a lot of dealers doing this at the moment. They are uploading to youtube as well. Trouble is that it is the same girl presenting using the same b roll and script.Just got back from BSM Orpington. Quickly writing this to let you know they are having a live feed at 4pm today via there Facebook page. I'm not on Facebook, but apparently you can still view it.
They were rehearsing and filming while I was there.
I imagine they be telling most of the things we already know. Might be worth a watch though.
It's the wrong use of "your" that upsets me!

How do you know you're on stage 2?Hi @jongodfrey
My MME (another RWD ER) is also in Antwerp in Stage 2 of checking ?
I have tried the various VIN trackers but without success, and likewise with the F12 browser checks.
Apologies if I have missed something in this thread, but am I able to set-up a Ford Pass App account just using my VIN? Or would I need to link it somehow to my Ford UK account?
And/or, can I add my MME to my Ford Account at this stage?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
David
