I’m happy to set up a charging thread and do some pricing comparisons across the networks via the various payment methods. Let me know if that would be helpful (something to do while we wait for the cars!)
yes please, that would be very useful!

Our good friend Wonky has a wiki on this site that I think expains the charging options on ford pass.

Bear with me as I am new to this- is this something only the dealer can do or can I access it?
Vista is only available to your dealer. The ways of tracking ourselves have all but been shut down. Your dealer should give you details on vista. Mine gives me a print at almost every change/update. Some people have said that theirs won't so I suppose it is down to the relationship you have with him/her

Thanks Grahame- I will be having a f2f with him next week so I'll get something put in place!

I would certainly find this extremely useful! As I can't charge at home (no garage or offroad parking) I'll be relying on public chargers.
Same here, glad I'm not the only one that isn't going to be able to charge at home.

Have you downloaded the Zip-Map App, this is great and shows all local chargers with info on them!

I ordered my car on the 23rd, found out yesterday that it has a vin allocated. In the groups experience, what happens next? Presumably a build date will be applied.
I've had no communication about concierges etc- should I have done?
I'm test driving one next Tuesday at the garage I allocated for the sale as it happens so I can chase up the sales manager if I've heard nothing. Probably just get BS which is why I prefer to manage it myself- but not sure where to start or am I being impatient?
I think you said that’s Vospers at Plymouth? I email Matthew Harmer there on a regular basis for an ETA update. He generally replies within a day and is the one dealing with the Mach E orders. Mine is due in 5 weeks though, so I’m getting twitchy and emailing him more often than I was before :)

Excellent- thanks. Haven't heard of or from Matthew Harmer. Can you let me know his e-mail address (PM me if you prefer.) Are you test driving one next week?

Does anyone know if there is a list of confirmed charging networks covered by the FordPass?

I can see in the app for rapid chargers we’ve got BP Pulse, Shell Recharge, Osprey and IONITY. I’m happy to set up a charging thread and do some pricing comparisons across the networks via the various payment methods. Let me know if that would be helpful (something to do while we wait for the cars!)
See my post 5859. I've started for you

I can’t see that on the main wiki page, but am very happy to set something up which can be linked to from the wiki for ease of reference @Wonky_Donkey
Hey all!

I had started on a Wiki document (see attached) to cover charging costs and the effectiveness of the FordPass Charging Network.

The main problem I found was many of the charging networks are now starting to collaborate together (eg Shell Recharge) where you can use each other's chargers with a card, but the charging costs are all over the place which makes it a nightmare to try and tabulate for comparison.

From my own investigations I've come to the conclusion that using the FordPass card is not competitive, and you are paying for convenience. I will only use the FordPass Charging card when (if) I ever use an Ionity charge point. At the moment the Ford discount at Ionity is quite significant, but for everything else I will probably use my existing Shell Recharge (no sub) and BP Pulse Cards (£7.85 a month)

The Shell card gives you access to Osprey and many other networks like the FordPass does - but the FordPass also gives you access to Shell & Osprey (but at a higher cost) Your brain just goes round in circles at that point ? and my ultimate advice - like most things check the cost before plugging in - especially at motorway service stations. I have seen charging sites at places like Gretna Green on the Scottish Border charging upto 74p a kWh!

Use the Zap-Map or PlugShare apps to help you find local networks like PodPoint who offer free or highly competitive rates on DC Rapid charging as low as 21p kWh at places like Lidl stores, and avoid the robbing thieving gits at GeniePoint who charge an absolute fortune for DC charging at petrol station forecourts and Morrisons supermarkets!

...and also remember that FordPass is only free for an introductory period - after that it will become a subscription service like BP Pulse is.

If anyone wants my original MS Excel file to enhance and expand upon let me know :)

In other news - I was one of those that despite having ordered a Mach-E had also put a £100 reservation down on a Kia EV6.

Over the last couple of weeks where it has been time to go from being on a wait list, to assigning a local dealership of choice, to actually placing an order, Kia have been very proactive and have really put Ford to shame.

The experiences between the two companies have been like night and day and Ford could learn a great deal on how to communicate and deal with customers.

I know the EV6 and the Mach-E are not directly comparable, but in my view the KIA is a nice looking car and not as expensive as the Mustang.

Depending on delivery dates I could be ultimately swayed to the Kia because based on experience so far they would probably treat me better as a customer than Ford ever would!

Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee Wonkey Donkey .... that says it all really. I am totally with you on this.

I am thinking of refund my discovery and waiting until the delivery of an alternative.
