My pickup is Dagenham so that should save some transportation time.

Same here.

A local professional has given me a great quote and GTechniq is one of the best but has to be applied by a professional.

I can’t wait to see it on my motor!
It also includes the carpets and the leather protection as well. ??

I have heard a rumour that Stuart Rowley, President Ford EUR, is in the country tomorrow so I imagine that a big fuss is going to be made of one lucky person who is to be the first person in the UK to receive their MME. To give whichever dealer it is to get the car ready in all respects I would hazard a guess and say that this is likely to be Wednesday. Good luck to whoever it is.

Well I may not be the lucky one to get my car anytime soon - but I finally got my "Tell us about your Mustang Mach-E order experience" survey email.

That was a mildly therapeutic opportunity to let them know what the last 18 months have been like ?

Another call to the dealer, more assurance the car is built and does exist, but still no sign of a VIN.

I'll just sit and stew then!

You can buy your leather protection and carpet protection stuff direct from Gtechniq. It is reeeeeaally easy to apply. Also the Carpet protection smells like superglue so you need your car to air a little for 24 hrs before you use it (to allow it to dry). Leave your window open a little over night to let the smell get out.

There is nothing special about the leather protector.

As for the Wheel Armour product. you could do this yourself but as the MME uses friction from the motor to slow down, you might not need Wheel Armour as the amount of breakdust should be minimal.

The Crystal Serum almost definitely requires to be professionally applied.

And I hope it's one of the early pre order people who have waited a long time.

MME RR ER RWD ?

Sorry realised that the link I posted earlier only has the aftercare products on it.

This is what I have used before - and it's also what the dealerships use... this product is available online for about £10-£15. There is enough in the bottles for a single whole vehicle application.

I became friends with the valeting guy who worked at a dealership and he said the markup on the application of these products is crazy. Your post confirms that! He gave me my first two bottles for free, and I've used it ever since. (why does that sound like a dodgy drug deal?)

*While I highly rate these, and I am happy to apply them to my own cars, please do consider if it's the right product for you. I don't want to be held accountable for any damaged paintwork on any new shiny Mach-E's

Hi @Wonky_Donkey

Thanks for confirming that - really helpful ?

Cheers,
David

Yep, the gobstatus update on 14/05 was just a global refresh type thing where everyone's status was updated.

If the vmacstatus date changes again dlfrom 12/05 then that will be more promising. The ETA has moved a week forward to W/E 5th June anyway, so I'd expect the cars to arrive in Dagenham by this weekend or early next week.
Great news. Champagne on ice ready for the 1st week in June!

What would you expect to pay to get the Crystal Serum professionally applied.
