Just an update from Hannah

Good Morning

Thank you for your email. I hope you are well. I do apologise for the lack of communication you have not been receiving throughout the order process of your vehicle and regular updates, we are working to resolve this as soon as possible.

I have received your request for a status update on the location of your Mustang Mach-E (order 1054xxxx, VIN WF0TR1R78xxxxxxxx). I am delighted to inform you that your vehicle was booked onto the Grande New Jersey vessel.

I have an estimated date of arrival into Antwerp for the 10th June, with an estimated dealer delivery arrival around the 22nd July. Please take this a an estimated date and not a confirmed date as we can experience delays, as we have seen recently.
That's great news. Is your F12 still showing 'AtPort' and 'Compound In'? I thought I was also on the New Jersey but who knows.....

Cool - hopefully we are both at sea! I've just done a run at the manifests but they have not been updated since May 9 - if they update and it appears I'll share....

Has anyone else ordered the front and rear mudflap option from the dealer? I’m getting a black SR and thought it would help keep the bodywork a little cleaner. Keen to see if anyone else selected this option, or even better if anyone has pics of these fitted?
Yes I've ordered the mudflaps!

KEY UPDATE:

So at last I have the key photos....

This is what has been supplied with my Mach-E: (2 keys and 2 blank key blades that don't fit into the keys)

My dealer thinks I should have 2 of these (that the supplied blank key blades WILL fit into)

Which key type do you all prefer?

What's on the back of the top ones?

The bottom ones are clearly US ones with the Panic Alarm function we dont usually see here.

I was told they had Mustang logos in silver (like the other ones do)

Loving fact it looks like we will be getting Mustang logo on keys (not like the demo cars with Ford on them).

I personally prefer the cleaner black ones but understand the issue with the airbag kill switch needing a key blade.

Is there really no door lock at all anywhere, even under a flap for a key blade - I wander what happens if you totally locked out with no power.

so my car is at the dealership but I'm one of the unlucky few whose fast charge cable didn't ship with the car. luckily my wall charger has its own cable but this is ridiculous. How is 'make sure charge cable is included' not one of the checklist items at Antwerp, what were those cowboys doing? This is a 50 grand car not a friggin IPhone 12 where Apple expects you to source your own charger.

There is 100% no keyhole anywhere on the car (hence the blank key blades)

If you loose the key you can use the PIN entry on the door pillar. If the 12v battery dies and your'e all locked out you have to open the tow hook flap on the front bumper where there are a couple of wires you can jump the trunk relay from, that then allows you access to the 12v battery to charge and unlock the car. Bit of a faff really :)

That is or isn't the one we get 5 years of for free?

Confused? I am!
I received confirmation from Hannah on the FordPass as follows:

  • FordPass Charging Network (New Motion) – 5 Year Free Trial
  • Ionity – 1 year free trial
  • BP Pulse – 1 year free trial

Sadly for me and @Dieeasysteve and indeed all other Ford EV drivers in NI, Ionity and New Motion have no charging network coverage here. BP Pulse has a massive 2 charging locations across the whole country. Maybe this will change at some point within the 5 year free trial period that we may get some benefit. But in the meantime the FordPass card I received is of zero benefit to me.

Definitely the ‘silver’ ones. If we have to stick with the others that will be disappointing to say the least.

It will also confirm whether or not the electrically operated ‘frunk’ is ever going to happen?
