MME RR ER RWD ?

Hi David, how many weeks do you reckon your car was in Antwerp? Mine and Lauren’s have been there for just over 6 weeks so far. I know they say 5-10 weeks but I would have thought the upper end is allowing for parts needing to be replaced after faults are found.
I’d also be interested on your opinion of the quality of the Diamondbrite treatment because I’ve ordered that on my Mach E too!
Hi @Smuddell

If I recall correctly, it was about 6 weeks or so in Antwerp, before it started the long journey home and on to the dealers, being another 2 weeks or so. Hopefully they should be well on top of the process and potential issues by now ?

I had Diamondbrite on my previous car (Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV) and it seemed to do a good job with the paintwork, and inside, so was happy to use them again when the dealer gave me the information.

I know there's similar products out there, but Diamondbrite seems popular with a number of car manufacturers.

I'll do a post once it's all done ?

Cheers
David

Please help me. I'm wavering. Have been looking at the id4 (1st edition), I don't think I want it, but I'm seriously tempted at the moment.
I think we have all had our wobbles. For the sake of a few more weeks I'd stick it out if I were you. My gut feel 1st week July when we will be picking up ours.

Thanks @David-HC I was originally planning to do a DIY paint treatment but when my dealer offered me a MUCH better part exchange price than the Ford website did I decided to splash out and have the Diamondbrite instead! Hence the reason why I'm interested to find out how yours turns out!

The trouble is @bazzac the cars that were in Antwerp when the eCall issue surfaced, are having to stay in Antwerp until the eCall fix has been deployed, so that could well add another couple of weeks or more...

They could do that fix at the dealer's to not have that delay.

@David-HC our cars seem to be the stragglers in leaving Flushing and Nam. Mine got to the dealers Thursday afternoon after a two week stretch at Nam.

A quick question for those who have picked up their cars or are about to and have been monitoring F12 status on remotesetup.ford.com. Does my lifecyclemode change from Transport to Normal once PDI is done? My tappsDateTime time has changed a few times on Thurs and Fri morning after it arrived at the dealers PDI depot. But lifecyclemode is still Transport.

That's what I would have thought but Hannah said cars in Antwerp have to have the fix in Antwerp - more Ford logic!!!

Probably cheaper to get it done in Antwerp by Aktrion who they are paying for things like this than the dealers who I'm sure submit an invoice for any recall or warranty work to Ford.

Hi @Carl

I think it's £399 - that's both exterior paint protection and internal carpets, seats etc. Plus you get a goodly supply of shampoos, wheel cleaner, ceramic wash, etc.

It's a two day process I gather - day 1 to apply, day 2 to dry!

Hope that helps ?
David
My dealer quoted £199 for the applicatioin inside and out and £299 for that and the aftercare package.but the aftercare stuff doesnt seem worth £50 let alone £100

Guys. We are told that we cannot have Phone as a key in the UK as the insurance won't allow it. But it does appear that Tesla use phones as keys. You get a key card with a Model 3 but you don't need to keep it on you. You can just set up your mobile to act as a key.

So one of my two business partners ordered the MME at the same time as me in Jan 21 and we are still waiting for our cars. Our third business partner was put off by the delays and went and ordered a Tesla Model 3 end of April (the original ETA for my MME). He gets his car on Wednesday! May be he's got is facts wrong but he says you get one key card which you use if you don't want to set up your phone. Otherwise you can set up upto 19 phones to act as keys!

It should change to normal, however mine never did.
When in transport mode the middle screen is off and the car limited to 30km/h, so I know my car is not in transport mode. However, the vehicleDateTime has not updated since it reached the dealership, so it doesn't seem to update.
TappsDateTime is updated daily...
I got hit with the bug where the welcome screen did not pop up, so I assume it is related.

Does anyone know what "oemCorrelationId means, as that has also changed for me.
Hi Lauren, so the oemCorrelationId changes each time the car is entered OR each time you try to activate. In my experience it goes up by about 3 each time the car is entered, and between 6 to 9 each time I try to activate.

By welcome screen do you mean the Mustang animation? I see that @Wonky_Donkey has had an issue where the Mustang animation has reverted to the Ford logo too.

No. When taken out of transport mode, the middle screen will show something along the lines of "welcome, first name last name" and guiding you to connect the phone with the profile you have created in the app while waiting.

Before delivery you should have received a pamphlet guiding you to install the app and configure the profile.
