I had the plates made independently and actually intended for them to all be stuck on rather than screwed, but when my dealer did the PDI and handover they had already drilled the front plates into the front plastic plate holder. I guess it's under more wind stress at the front so makes sense to have them screwed there.

My last two or three cars have all just used double sided 3M tape front & back.

Question re: license plates

Are you guys having it screwed on or stuck on?

Green stripe or none?

I’ve gone for stuck on plates with no green strip.
When I collected the car the rear plates were screwed on, front stuck on. Got rained on on way back from dealer, washed her at the weekend, front number plate fell off on Tuesday. Went to another dealer (my friend who can now sell MME) and got him to put his named plates on instead. Now both screwed on.
Plain green stripe for me

I would definitely be opting for screwed on back and front. On my other car, my Volvo XC40, on a really hot day like yesterday, both number plates fell off in the heat! They've been on for over a year. The same day, in my ST, the dashcam fell off and set off the alarm. This is the UK!!!

Yikes… rain and heat causing stuck on plates to fall off is not good. Maybe I need to get them screwed on… will chat to them.

I may be wrong, but I think it means you’re outta there and on to flushing. Someone will correct me if I’m wrong… and if I’m not, remember to take these readings with a pinch of salt.

Anybody here heard anything about the ecall update? Do dealers actually have it or not?

Kind regards,
Rob

That was my experience - it was in Antwerp for 4.5 weeks going through the checks (was Compound In for the whole time, with no date changes, then went Compound Out when it got on the transporter to Flushing.

I just spoke to mine and they confirmed it is available now - waiting for a call back on what this means for getting my car ready.

Hello everyone! Just joined the forum. I have a Mach-e SR RWD, Absolute Black, on order through company lease (Arval) with an expected delivery date of 18/11. Very excited as this will be my first full EV after having hybrids for 6 years, my first Ford too. Now just getting my head around chargers and how I can get the OLEV grant with the lease vehicle. I'm hoping the dealer can tell me the right details for it to be able to track it on some website somewhere like you all seem to be doing.

Great forum for tips etc. so far, though there may be many software updates in the next 5 months.

Welcome!

Once you’ve decided what charger you want, you usually just need to provide proof that you’ve got one coming, which the lease company should be able to give you, and the OLEV grant is applied at point of sale… this was the case for me anyway.

The lease company can provide you with a “Letter of authority” to prove you are the keeper and eligible . There’s a template on the Gvt OLEV page.
