The big day for me finally arrived!! Got the call from the dealer and picked up this afternoon.

@SashaLondon is the red one yours??

Loved my first little drive, but only a short one as I have to catch up on work and watch the football. Might do a drive later!! So cool!

Nice, mine is also black but a SR AWD. Sadly I cant get mine this week even if they get it all done in time. I have to arrange my present car to be taken away and there is too many kids appointments and things to do with the end of term now.

A rapid red!? That’s some first MME on the IoW controversy!! ?

Impressive geo locator you’ve got built in there! Just from that pic ??
We are going back to the IOW mid July hopefully with my MME did you have any issues in locating charging points? ?

Hi all,

A quick note on headlights in the MME - specifically the automatic high beam control.

In my experience (albeit limited to just two days ?) the headlights are absolutely brilliant ?

  • The lights are very powerful and give a very bright clear beam (I have the RWD ER)
  • The Automatic High Beam Control works really well, and dips the beam almost the instant it senses the lights from an on-coming vehicle
  • PLEASE NOTE that in my car the setting was looking at traffic approaching on the left-hand side e.g. as in Europe, so you need to change it to look for traffic on the righ-hand side!
  • This system also minimises glare for other drivers with the Glarefree Lighting setting
  • The other excellent setting (especially for country roads) is the Adaptive Front Lighting which provides in effect a wider beam through additional lighting to both sides of the main beam
  • See pages 91 - 96 of the owners manual if the above sounds of interest

You probably already know all this, but I was very impressed, so thought I would mention it ?
David.
Is the glarefree option set automatically? I can't see anything in my RWD ER referring to this

Was speaking to Richard at Trust Ford and he said they had a car arrive in last week which is still showing delivery at end of July. Hardly fills you with any confidence about the data we are looking at. Ford need to have a serious look at their systems.
I wonder what colour car they received? Infinite Blue would be good! ?

The glare free high beam is for AWD cars only, this is where the car actively shuts off a small range of the high beam to avoid dazzling other road users but leaves the rest of it still on. RWD cars just have auto high beam whereby the car turns the entire high beam on and off when it detects other road users.

That’s what I thought, thanks,

but he said he had the RWD ER. That’s what confused me.

I didn’t actually need one, as it had enough juice to from there to London and back, but there are some at the big Tesco’s near St Helens… they’re only 7kw though… but free vend!

I was giving it a good clean before our big road trip tomorrow… Cornwall via Southampton. Looks like we’d only need to stop for a charge once in Cornwall, but I’m going to test out the Ionity with a 20-80% charge at Cullompton Services… curious. Quite excited to charge there, which is pretty sad really ?

Hope you can fix the badge Scott- expect you were gutted. Feel for you, no doubt it's fixable or even straightforward to replace if they're available.?

A you-tuber (Andrew Till - Mr EV) used the chargers at Cullompton when he did a Lands End to John O'Groats and back to Kent, drive in a Kia Niro ev. He was quite impressed with the ionity charger.

Anyway welcome to Cornwall and don't forget-jam first ? ;)??

Our dealer was Evans Halshaw in Hull. They recommended a local firm but suggested we wait until they had some experience with the MME. Of course, they don’t get that experience without actually *doing* it so perhaps there’s an opportunity for a discount here.
Thanks. In the end I decided to bite the bullet and order the MME. During the process it offered me dealer-fitted options, which included the tow bar, so I opted for that. Got to be able to get our bikes to places!

Well done on your order! I finally got my MME yesterday and I'm thrilled about it. Only driven a few miles around SE London, and getting my head around all the tech, but it's ticking all the boxes so far! It was my dealer's first MME handover, so lots of people are learning about this at the moment, but it's such a great car, I think those frustrations don't detract too much!

Anyone else notice you can’t run Waze from via CarPlay and Sync navigation concurrently? Bizarre… they’re on different networks, why??
