Could well be one which needs a battery replaced. Worth asking and pushing for an (honest) answer. Mine is in that situation.
Agreed I pushed hard on this point and was categorically denied that my particular car has any issue what so ever; is just stuck in a queue. I asked for honesty from both concierge and dealer as I do not want a "Friday car" that has been stripped to component parts in Antwerp.

Yes I was also promised that mine didn't have a battery defect. In fact on 9th June, the Executive Office wrote to me:
"Prior to the eCall issue, our quality checks identified a batch of EU vehicles having an issue with the high-voltage battery. This required us to hold all EU vehicles in Antwerp while analysing the extent of the issue. All impacted customers have been notified that their vehicle is unfortunately affected and requires a fix – fortunately your order was not one of the units identified."
Less than a week later after me pushing and pushing and pushing as things didn't add up, the same person finally admitted that yes my car has a defective battery, but insisted that it didn't make it onto either list (brilliant admin Ford).
So yes I would keep pushing. And for any automative press people reading, perhaps this is a slight window into my frustration and anger. Feel free to quote this email from Nicola in the Executive Office.

End of Jan with 12-14 week lead time, car was built early December been in Antwerp since mid April. Was advised by Concierge delivery in May, now maybe end July... slips every week.
If its 1 day into August I've told dealer don't call me until 1-Sept with a 71 plate reg.

EDIT: Sorry car been in Antwerp since end March, was on Grande Houston
My car was built at the same time and appear to have been taking the same path via Antwerp etc but has been delivered during mid June. My was on the same ship as yours. If it's still in Antwerp it must have a faulty battery. Others now have "complimentary" loan cars.

Would you happen to have a good email address to use to escalate my issue up to the Executive Office?

Interesting or Ford are delivering in a who ordered first type deal but doubt it. When did you order Steve?

At least 40 loan cars have been issued that Ford will admit.
Anybody that has a loan car - how did you do this via dealer or Ford? My lease has to be returned in next couple weeks and we will have no car.

Do it via concierge. Tell them you want to be escalated to the executive office.
The loan car was organised through the exec office

I think they hope you will cancel as it's means all the customer service effort isn't required and they can get the car fixed in their own time and sell it on.

The delay is propably due to sourcing a replacement battery as there is a limited supply.

The way they treat people is disgusting and cynical.

And they know they had us early customers trapped because we got the delays late in the stage rather than early on and we had the picg at stake if we cancelled.

And to order elsewhere would put us at the back of another queue with no picg.

I said this to both concierge and Dealer, just allocate me another vehicle.... seems that is not possible.

Great news! End in sight for you. When did yours arriving Flushing? I'd like to give Ford the timelines of other cars compared to mine. I believe mine has been in flushing since 31st May & is still there!!!
Mine arrived in Flushing on 26th June! How do you know your car is in Flushing? Seems very strange it would be there that long unless it's sitting forgotten in a corner. Are you sure it hasn't been sent on a detour to Cologne for battery replacement?

It hardly sells the car's reliability if so many need months in Antwerp for "QC" !

I think I'd be looking at the Audi if mine was still in Antwerp at this point or demanding a loan car.
Strong email sent to concierge along the lines of get this escalated and have somebody contact me to propose a solution.

Problem with Audi or Jag is it will be 100GBP more a month. Really don't want to pay 600 GBP a month for a car. Current CRV which has been great is 370 a month, mach e will be 490.
